Marc has Fridays off from teaching, so he and I went on a lunch date to eat couscous with meatballs at our favorite couscous place. You can only get it on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
I love this metro station. How cool is the punctuation at the bottom??
Sadly, I was so excited to start eating that I forgot to take a picture of our lovely lunch. SO so good.
The restaurant is right next to a great marché.
Even though we weren't exactly hungry, we walked to Christian Constant to sample some of his acclaimed pastries.
And then walked to the Jardin de Luxembourg to enjoy them. It was dreamy.
We each had a chocolate tart.
We then walked to l'Orangerie in the gardens (as opposed to l'Orangerie in the Tuileries). They are having an exhibit of press photos from WWI. I thought it was amazing. A small sampling:

We brought home more pastries from Christian Constant to enjoy after dinner! Mine was called Bitter Lemon, and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten.
