12 on the 12th | May

1. I woke up with a sore knee (my good one!).
2. I put my knee braces on. I have got to get back to wearing them daily.
3. Skype with Marc
4. Eva drawing an original fairy tale with her friend, Ava.
5. Lucas was home sick, parked on the couch. (It is seriously disturbing how many of my 12ths feature a sick child.)
6. My purple tulips finally bloomed!
7. It was such a beautiful day – I had to get out and fertilize the lawn.
8. Reading Cutting For Stone for book club while eating my new favorite low-carb lunch (curried chicken with cauliflower).
9. I tried all of the new skin care items Kristi brought during Women's Conference weekend! (thumbs up)
10. Watching Survivor with the boys after Eva was in bed. ahhhhhh.
11. At one point I looked over and saw Eva's "pet" lizard Gabriella on the arm of my chair.
12. Working on the sweater for Eva that I haven't had time for lately. By the time it's finished, it will be too hot to wear it...

Love this peek into your 12th - you have sick kids on the 12th, and mine always seems to feature laundry! Take care of your knee :)

I didn't realize you had to wear the serious knee braces. Oh Michelle. Do you miss your therapy sessions?

How is your once-a-day-carb-diet treating you?

I read Cutting For Stone several years ago. It has many sad and tragic parts in it, but I still enjoyed it. I hope you do as well!

Our pink lizard, which is now void of it's original green spots, is called- for inexplicable reasons- 'Barbie Lizard'.
You might need to share the lunch recipe.

that is the one thing i find so frustrating about knitting clothes. i have a bunch of projects i've started and never finished because it will no longer fit. eva's sweater looks so cute. can't wait to see it finished.

i loved cutting for stone.

I'm sorry your good knee is hurting! I suppose it's a good reminder to be Bionic, right?
The skype picture is funny, it's so cool that you can do that.
It's just plain crazy how often one of your kids is sick.
The tulips look beautiful, especially with the green contrast behind them.
I've been reading that book at lunch every day too, I love it.
I'm also enjoying my new products from Kristi.
I love Survivor!
Perhaps you'll be done with the sweater just in time for her to wear it in the Fall.

That creepy rubber lizard rather haunted me when I was at your house a couple of weeks ago. Even though it's not a realistic color, the shape, size, and heft seem eerily realistic--enough so that I have to do a double-take when I see it out of the corner of my eye. Ew. Lizards in the house.

I'm loving your purple tulips! And I love reading while eating--it's one of my favorite ways to have a meal! And yes, your 12 grids often feature sick children--poor children and poor mother.

Hmm...I'm going to need that recipe. I'm fairly sure of it. I'm sorry about your sick kids; you're totally right that they are frequently featured on the 12th.

Those purple tulips look like they were worth the wait!
