before & after

I finally got my hair cut and colored on Saturday (only a month overdue)! I took before & after self-portraits to document the extreme transformation. Now if only I could look like the after shot every day. I have tried and tried to just reconcile myself to my curly hair, but it's not working.

Today I started the injection phase of my knee treatments (one per week for 5 weeks). It was cool – they use an x-ray and contrast dye to guide the injection and insure its correct placement. I was instructed to take it easy for the next couple of days and ice my knees several times. Pain relief will probably not be noticeable for another couple of weeks. Obviously, I'm hoping for an extreme transformation in this domain as well.

LOVE your hair! What is it about a fresh cut and color that does so much to lift a woman's soul?

I love your curls too, they always look so much better than mine. :)

I feel your pain on the root canal and carpal tunnel, thankfully my knees don't hurt...

I love your hair both ways. I know your curls are your bane, but they are so beautiful. I also like the straight look, too.

Don't you love it when a doctor says you should take it easy? It's like saying, "Do! Go home! Read a book! Watch a movie! Have fun." At least that is how I interpret it.

No fun. Root canal? Carpel tunnel? Failing knees? No fun at all.

Michelle, you look so beautiful! You are so photogenic. I am so jealous you have the option to go straight or curly. It looks really great either way. I try to curl my hair for church and it is straight before I leave the house.

Love your new hair cut! I always wish that I could get my hair to look just as the hairdresser does. Never works. Oh well!

You look lovely, I'm glad you were able to get in there for your appointment; I know what a boost it is to look better.

What is up with carpal tunnel pain now? Stop, stop the insanity!

I know I never see you in person, but I thought the first picture was the after picture and I was like, hmmm, why did she post them backwards! I too, would love to have hair options, but sadly don't. You look pretty both ways, and would agree with others, few things brighten your day like a good highlight!

Love the color and the cut!

But, I'm waiting for a report on the supposed miracle Moroccan hair oil...does it help?! It makes my hair too soft if I'm not careful.

Of course, never mind that I'm your mother...you look beautiful both ways!

Oh how I love a good cut and color. I haven't had either since before the wedding. My hair has, of late, being feeling really long. Good thing my MIL cuts hair! Your haircut looks great!

Also, I hope the knee treatments work soon.

You look gorgeous! That should help ease some of the aches and pains.

You are lovely curly and straight! I am so overdue for a hair cut and color, that it's getting embarrassing. So, I understand how good it feels to get it done.

I really hope you start to see some improvement in your knees sooner than they told you!
