Sunday thoughts

Today was Fast Sunday for us, since we had stake conference last week.

A man in our ward bore his testimony and said:

It's been said that men marry women for who they are, and women marry men for who they can become.

Suzy's always been the girl of my dreams. Recently, I've been thinking that it's time I became the man she's been waiting 30 years for me to become.

I'm thankful that the gospel of Jesus Christ enables us to know that we can become who we are meant to be, and that we are meant to be great.

Hear, hear! I think this was just what I needed to hear today.

I love it when I hear exactly what I've been needing, and that insight is one of my favorite aspects of the gospel and atonement.

I also second Jill's comment.

So interesting Adam says this all the time, that we marry who the person can become. The wife must have been so grateful by his comments. Beautiful thought.

Happy Birthday Michelle! I'm glad they sang to you in primary and that you went for it and gave the kids what they wanted. You're so great that way. I hope it was a fantastic day.

Happy Birthday, yesterday! I hope you had a great day. I feel like I should think of something that requires a drop-off so I can see you... has it been more than a year?

I hope this year is fantastic for you!

Nothing melts my heart more than hearing men say tender things about their wives.

I wonder if husbands realize the doors that would open up to them if they said things like this to their wives more often!
