This week we had Creative Friday on Thursday because Jill will be otherwise occupied tomorrow afternoon (helping with Whitney's Valentine party at school). As usual (or possibly more than usual), I reeeaallly needed Creative Friday this week, so I was happy and grateful that Jill suggested rescheduling so as not to have to wait until next Friday... I need my sanity saver.
We spent the whole time creating our homekeeping boxes that we learned about in our organizing class last night. We were so excited about it that we took a field trip to Walmart after class to buy supplies!
We thought we would do other projects after completing our boxes, but they took longer than we had planned. No matter. The combination of striped index cards, colorful tabs, and impending organization and freedom was nearly intoxicating.
I think this was a great project to do together, because we could help each other figure it out and share ideas. And by that I mean that Jill helped me figure it out and gave me ideas, as usual. {Photo by Jill}
Jill took this photo of Eva drawing a dinosaur. I love its red eyes. She also gave us quite a roaring demonstration and asked me to video the display. Maybe next time.
Do her "movie star teeth" remind anyone else of a certain fish?? (Don't worry, Eva, you wear them well.)
Again, Jill takes the best angles. I love this photo of our C.F. table and work in progress. It makes me happy.

Whoa whoa whoa, I'm going to need to hear more about these homekeeping boxes. They sound dreamy and I want one. Also, love the new header. Love, love, love.
That is such a great self portrait!
Love the new header Michelle, adorable just like the rest!
I need to catch some sort of fire in the organizing department. I'm definitely reeled in on wanting to know more.
Eva is a doll.
Great SP-- I love your hair!
A fabulous self-portrait. I am so glad you were able to have a day to restore your mental health.
"The combination of striped index cards, colorful tabs, and impending organization and freedom was nearly intoxicating." Well said my friend!
It was a marvelous day and I am so excited to get going on our boxes. It's funny that today is Friday though because I don't have any jobs scheduled for Friday, I should do Thursday's jobs instead since they didn't get done yesterday and our bathrooms need to be cleaned.
I'm very surprised that I don't hate my handwriting on those tabs, I was envying yours when you were writing them but decided to accept mine...what the?
Oh, darling darling darling hair, Michelle, I was waiting to see a photo of it!YEAH, I am dying to get a new flat iron, Esther bought one that you can get it flat within an hour, w/o frustrations. The one I have is soooooooo NOT good. It only flattens the first couple tries.....! I love it. My hair is sooo looooong and I hate it. I am missing my "A" cut blonde do! Any how, how fun to get together, and feel giddy for you guys for your organizational improvements. I think it is admirable. Sorry I am behind.......reading just catched up on photos!!!
Love your hair. Love your banner. Love the Valentine's M&Ms on the table. Love the boxes. I'll have to learn more about that tomorrow.
Have a happy Friday!
i love the homekeeping box idea and want to find out more. where can i go learn from this woman? do you feel like it's made changes for you? i've tried flylady but never really got to where i was REALLY using her system (although it seemed good). organization is definitely not my forte.
I need to think of a project to do just so I can buy those index cards. Too cute.
I see the designer genes have been passed down to Eva. Her grouping of purple and magenta crayons makes a a wonderful color palette.
I'm anxious to get the low down on these organizing boxes...
I'm glad you were able to keep your Creative Friday date...I can see why those days are such a life saver for you...
P.S.--I noticed a big bag of "meal replacements" on your table...
I always think of that description everytime I eat peanut m&m's ...
OK, so when are you going to explain this box system more? From what I can see it looks like you're doing laundry every day. I need a review please!
