Eiffel Tower light show

On our last Friday night in Paris, we had a family outing to see the Eiffel Tower light show. They put on a show 4x nightly until December 31st, to celebrate the E.T.'s 120th birthday. Lucas and Max had gone to see it one night, and wanted us all to return. (You can't see the show from our apartment because it is only visible on the Trocadéro side.)

The show starts with the usual 5 minutes of glittering, which takes place at the top of every hour. (Honestly, this was my favorite part.)

The rest of the show lasts for 12 minutes, one minute for each decade the tower has been standing. The first part was lights slowly going from the bottom to the top, which represents the building of the tower.

After that, it was just a hodge-podge of color.

Marc had to hold Eva up so she could see. She loved it.

The French flag!

When the show was over, we decided to walk home. It's a nice walk under the tower, through the Champ de Mars, and then a block or so to the apartment.

It stays blue inside for awhile afterward.

To tell the truth, this is my favorite view of all, the one from our front window. But I doubt that will surprise anyone who knows me...

That seems like a rather fun and perfect almost-last outing for your stay in Paris.

I am not surprised at all that your favorite view of the tower is the one from your window!

My goodness! Did you all share photos or did you capture all those colors by yourself?

Home. There truly is no where like it. I like your view, too.

well now, this indeed is a great and fantastic photo, because there are miriads of apartment windows with now view on site, just the mere thought of looking at it, from home is like having a peak of the ocean in california...even if it is...just a tid bit of blue....but now, i know you like comfort and receiving all the joys including the outside one's inside so I am very happy to see that window view, specially with those cute cute twinklyyy blue lights on the tree....really??????
