Sunday thoughts

This is the thing I heard in church today that really made me stop and think:

I know Heavenly Father loves me by the people He puts into my life.

I never really thought about it that way, but it's true -- from my extended family to my children to my friends to my neighbors and ward family to the young women I work with, I feel so blessed to know them. Some teach me to be patient, some teach me to forgive, some teach me how to love, some teach me how to serve, some teach me how to receive service, some teach me how to look at things in a different way, some teach me how to have faith, and some how to have fun. Where would I be without them?

Oh man I like this, and I needed to read it. I have a friend that seems to "collect" good people in her life. It is so enviable, she is magnetic! I know that certain people have come and gone in my life and reflecting back I know they were there when they needed to be because God was looking out for me. It is so comforting!

I love this thought and need to remember it during the times I feel unlovable.

I also think it's interesting that some people are only part of our lives for short periods (i.e., visiting teaching partners, neighbors, teachers) but can have a big impact on the way we feel about ourselves and how we see things.

I feel the same way. Where I would be without all the wonderful people in my life I don't know. Heavenly Father blesses me more than I ever realize through the people he places in my life.

I am not sure right now on how many levels I relate to you here, but when I keep my sensed tuned to it, I am amazed by who is put in my path on a daily basis, from friends and complete strangers alike, some of who become friends.

This is such a comforting thought.

Sometimes when the Lord takes us places we may not want to go, it could be not just for our personal growth, but because someone specifically needs what we have to offer. It's like shifting a billion pieces on a giant chessboard. His plan is so well organized.
