Wonderful Wednesday!

I've been so excited for Wonderful Wednesday! When Jill arrived, I was in the midst of cleaning off the kitchen counter (I've been letting my filing pile up and was sorting it all into piles).

9:30 a.m.

10:30 a.m.

(note the new mixer's provisional home!)

I took some paperwork downstairs and then put the finishing touches on the recipe box for my dear neighbor Heidi (her birthday was in December, good grief!). Look familiar, Jane?

11:30 a.m.
After searching long and hard, I found some brush sets and fonts that seemed promising.

12:30 p.m.
Making good progress on my new tags!

1:30 p.m. Break to make lunch for Max, who is still sick, and for me.

2:30 Well on my way with another set of tags!

3:30 p.m.
put in a load of laundry
and picked up Lucas and some neighbors from school.

4:30 p.m.
had fun creating some ledger "papers", but I'm questioning whether they might be too ink intensive to really use much.

5:30 p.m.
Pulled soft pretzels out of the oven to share with Jill when she brought Eva home. (Recipe from Jordan's food blog.)

6:00 p.m.
Called Jill to see why they weren't back yet! She was killing time, trying to bring Eva back later. Can you believe? And then. Then she told me that Eva bit Ashley today! Bit her, on purpose, and didn't seem remorseful about it. I'm a little scarred by that. I had to leave at 6:15 to go to Enrichment, and I've been trying not to think about that little incident too much.

With the exception of the biting, it was truly a wonderful day.

"... and didn't seem remorseful about it." made me laugh!

I had to check my calendar for confirmation that it was already Wonderful Wednesday again. That rolls around fast... and it has nothing to do with me.

It looks like you have had two great days (productive) in a row. Fabulous.

Wasn't Max sick last WW too?

You got a lot done! It looks like it was fabulous -- I love that you took pictures of your activities!

No biting here, but PQ told Emerson she was ugly and Avery she was stupid today and didn't seem remorseful. Ugh. I've never heard her talk like that before -- disturbing!

I love seeing the hourly updates from your day and really love the thought of you doing whatever you want to do without constant interruptions. I think your new tags are going to be fabulous!

I'm sorry you're scarred about Eva biting Ashley, it was a strange incident but they recovered from it well.

Your tags look so beautiful! How do you come up with those? I also want to try the soft pretzels. They look so good.

Sorry about the biting. That is such a hard thing to deal with.

These wonderful Wednesdays seem so productive...I am totally jealous!
I don't like being interrupted when I'm working on projects...

The mixer looks great there! Oh! to have a lime green mixer...sigh...

About the biting incident...there must be something in the air because we've been having some similar issues around here...only involving scratching, hitting and lying! (and it's not even ME this time!) heh heh

I hate when these kinds of issues creep up--I feel personally responsible as a parent (even though it's not my fault) and I feel like things are spinning out of control...

i really and truly love seeing what you do with your time on these days. you're so busy and productive! i love it. i long for days like that.

you poor girl! another kid bites the dust! i hope he's feeling better soon.

eva bit ashley?! that sweet little girl in the photos? :) i wouldn't worry too much- kellen bit someone and he's totally outgrown the phase. i believe i was a chronic biter...but caused no damage.

i love those pretzels. i have a friend having a rough time and we may just try to make those for them....

I WANT THOSE PRETZELS. RIGHT. NOW.

I love seeing the photo documentation of your day. Those tags are amazingly cute! And, there is hardly anything better to restore my sanity than cleaning the clutter off of my kitchen counter.

Biting? Oh dee....

Oh my, I'm loving that clean counter AND the green mixer! So cute.

I'm really hoping that some of those tags are on your list for me for my birthday...

Biting is disturbing! I never could relate to it, as none of my kids did it, but you were subject to it! It must be a common territorial type reaction. Sounds like Jill knew just how to handle it, which I would totally expect!

Great day with photos!

That is a great day! And I have to say, I love your bright, happy, green kitchenaid. I want one just to decorate my countertop!

Your day looks wonderful. The tags look very promising. I need to learn how to do those digital things. I am so lame and slow when it comes to that.

I wish I could have shared those pretzels. Do they have cinnamon? Did Jill eat them?!

Don't worry about the bite- Ashley hasn't even mentioned it. In fact, she was asking if she could play with Eva this morning when we drove near Jill's house and I had to explain that Eva wasn't there. Three year olds forgive quickly!

I am so impressed with all you get done. It's nice to have that kind of time to yourself and like you, I would definitely want to make it worth it. I'm kind of afraid when the time comes, when my kids are all in school, that I won't savor time the way I do now.

I love the tags your working on.

I am completely smitten with your mixer. I wish I could justify owning two.

I enjoy seeing all that you get done. It does make the few kidless days I have had this last month seem fruitless!

Your pretzels look awesome. I use the same recipe but have never done knots before. Must try...
