the anti-Tuesday

Jill came over for Creative Wednesday, since she will be busy on Friday with classroom parties. We both had Christmas projects to work on, so it was perfect timing -- not to mention that after the last two days I've had, I really needed a calm, stay-at-home day! It was ever so nice to sit at my kitchen table and chat, eat, and work together.

We tried to get a self-portrait in front of the Christmas tree. The lighting was pretty uncooperative. Hopefully Jill's turned out better!

Jill brought homemade sugar cookies! One of my very favorite treats, and one I rarely enjoy because of the effort involved. (She also brought lunch -- it felt kind of decadent to just sit there and not have to prepare anything.)

Can you believe the size of this ribbon bolt that Kristi sent to Jill? And that was just one of several. (By the way, Kristi, your package arrived on the day I was wrapping gifts to send away and the ribbons were just perfect for my packages!!)

It was a productive, yet not harried day, just the way I like them. After Jill left, I finished the project I was working on. I was pleased, but also disappointed that I had missed the post office for today.

Just then, Charlotte and Emily stopped by to bring me a gift from Denise, and a light bulb went on. They could take my gifts back to Denver with them tomorrow, thereby saving me postage and ensuring an on-time delivery! Another Christmas miracle!

Jill pointed out that today was my anti-Tuesday. It really was, and I'm thrilled about it.

It was so much fun stopping by! And I'm glad we could engage in a Good Mail Swap, as Emily dubbed it.

Here's to even more Christmas miracles this season!

My favorite line "another Christmas miracle." You CRACK ME UP.

(Personally, I would have added FREAKING for dramatic effect, but I'm all about drama and you obviously need LESS drama.)
