wardrobe enhancement

When I saw my parents for one brief day in North Carolina, Mom of course had to squeeze in one quick shopping trip.

We went to a store called Garden Ridge, which is a strange sort of hybrid store: part craft store, part warehouse store. They had a display of sunglasses near the front and we must have spent 20 minutes trying on different pairs.

Can you believe she bought me four pairs for $16? I'm used to having a black pair and maybe a brown pair, I've never had such a selection in my life! Just an example of why it's fun to be her daughter.

Your mom seems like the perfect person to have along on an accessorizing trip. How fun!

Lucky you! I love the white ones!

What a luxury! This ought to hold you over until the styles change again.

very fun...and especially for that price. I'm thinking I love the light ones, too, but wouldn't have thought that before. We just need to see you model them now!

Hmmmmm....glad to have accommodated! I have a drawer full of sunglasses! Sometimes I'm afraid someone will look in and see them and think I'm really eccentric! (well, I am eccentric I guess) Maybe they're just think I'm weird!

I guess I'm that too.....

Having a wardrobe of sunglasses is a new concept to me, but one I could embrace--especially if your mom was along on the shopping trip!

Where are the shots with you in them??? I think if I had that many pair I would lose them faster. Keeping track of my $10 Target ones seems tricky these days :)

That is quite the selection. There's one for every occasion. I wonder how long they would last me? I loose sunglasses all the time.

garden ridge is an adventure. around thanksgiving (i thinK) they do a 72 hr sale and they are open round the clock. it is nuts.

my sis and i used to go each year in the late evening prior to kids...

Oh myyy myy myy, I want a mom like yours....I must say I usually have one brown and one black, but recently i had to lavishly lavish my vanity, with another black pair, that did not need replacement, just needed another look....sooooo awesome...to have a 3 piece selection.....
