hormones suck, reprise

So... for the last 2 or 3 months, I've been having what I've termed Post-MS -- depression after my period. (Which, let's not forget, is on a 3-week cycle.) It's a bummer, but I try to get a little perspective and remember that I will feel better after a few days. Eventually it passes, I like people again and I get my motivation back.

The problem is that right now I'm having a big case of the old, familiar PMS, which begs the question: am I going to have to suffer through the Post-MS as well?? Because one week of normalcy and productivity out of three is so not okay with me.

I've always enjoyed being a woman, but hormones really do suck.

I couldn't have said it better myself! One week of reprieve is most definitely NOT enough!

A men! AMEN! I make myself sing the only words I know to that song " I enjoy being a girl" because nothing about being a man is attractive to me, but I do believe there were some design flaws when it came to Eve if I am being honest!

Oh, Michelle. That just sounds miserable. You need more than one good week, for crying out loud! You deserve better! Can we dare hope that because you had the blahs BEFORE your period, that maybe, just maybe this time they won't show up after? I hope ....

Your creative days with Jill sound so fantastic. Throw in some homemade cookies and it's paradise. What would we do without thoughtful, faithful friends? I love that you guys do this each week, and that you make it a priority. AND that you eat lots of good food while you're at it!

I laughed and laughed at your story and Eva and the Black Cat (sorry, Eva). The part about wanting to go inside and be scared about did me in. Hilarious! But sorry about the screaming. I am certain my 3-year old could give Eva a run for her money when it comes to screaming. He treated us to his decibals of doom yesterday in primary. A nightmare.

Really hope you are feeling better.

PS - Love, love, love the quote on your sidebar. I'm copying it down right now in my book of quotes. Your banner is also a treat.

That's just not okay, especially now that the kids will be home all week for spring break. Perhaps a doctor's appointment is in order???

This is just one of the many reasons I think people should come equipped with an LCD screen. "Low on estrogen" or whatever, so we could know what to do to fix ourselves. It's miserable sometimes!

Post-MS? That just isn't right. Not at all. Surely there must be something you are low on? Something a doctor or someone can recommend to stop the insanity?!?! Good luck.

oh man...I have been lucky in this deparmtnet, I used to get really bad cramps...but luckly I don't anymore, i think i see this as more of a nuisance...the only time i felt like a period or pms was something marvelous was when reading the red tent...but other than that! I am glad we have it to procreate, but common, couldn't they invented something more transparent? and less hormonal?
