lazy

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but I've reached a new low with regards to laziness. I've discovered that I haven't been drinking nearly as much water as I used to ever since we got our new fridge without the icemaker and water in the door! I mean, does it really require such great effort to open the door, plop some ice cubes in my water "stein" (large plastic mug from the folks in labor & delivery) and fill it up with water? I used to drink about 4-5 of those a day, now I'm down to about one. And I've been waking up every morning feeling absolutely parched. What is wrong with me?

Our computer seems to be experiencing some laziness too. Periodically, it just decides to turn itself off. And for the last few days, I haven't been able to get it to turn back on! (Does it somehow know that we just finished paying it off?) Marc is the only one with the magic touch. Max and I have observed his technique, but even when we follow exactly the same protocol, no luck. Yesterday I forgot to ask him to turn it on before he went to work and I had to live with no computer all day! It amazed me how many times I walked over to it, only to turn away in disappointment. Apparently I'm an addict.

Now if only I can rediscover my love of drinking ice water!

I always wake up thirsty in the middle of the night, I think I drink about 2 of those hospital mugs. I need to set a goal of 4 I guess.
I feel the same way about getting ice out. I am much better when we have a bag of Sonic Ice on hand. That to me is worth the effort. The cubes, no way too much work.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing about myself today - Why don't I get my bum off the couch and go get a drink??? I'm SO thirsty all the time. I gotta get back on it. 2 things that help me - Either getting a big ol huge mug and fill it up with enough water for the day so I can see how much I need to drink and not have to refill or get bottles of water and mark them 1,2,3,4 in the morning so I can start drinking and get them done.

I'm sorry that you're not feeling up to par.

I get so thirsty for water after eating pizza, Bajio, or anything like that. I'd rather have regular tap water without ice, though.

Hope that your computer decides to cooperate with you.

That's kind of funny about your water-drinking situation. Who knew the convenience of the fridge water unit was keeping you well hydrated?

As for your computer, that's just sick and wrong.

so interesting that you realized you were not drinking as much water with the new frig.

ps-it was so good to see you over on my blog this morning! thanks so much for stopping over.

If we need to start apologizing and be embarrassed about being lazy, I'm not blogging any more! Yes, it is SO hard to open the stupid door and get out the damn ice!

And sorry about your computer- I think all inanimate objects have something to tell them when they are paid for or when it would the most inconvenient time to break down!

I went through the same thing with the computer last weekend when we redid our office and had the computer unplugged for 2 days. I didn't realize how many times a day I walk over to just sit and read or what ever. I hope you can get the magic touch with yours!

Oh no! I have dreamed of an ice in the door fridge for the whole decade we have bee homeowners. But now that we are about to buy a new fridge convinced myself the convenience wasn't worth the other things I'd sacrifice.

And now you go and tell me I will be less lazy and start drinking more water with it in the door?

I know I need to drink more water. Our fridge water dispenser is so slow, it drives me crazy, so that doesn't help. I'll fill a glass with ice, and then get too impatient for the glass to fill all the way, so I just drink a few swallows. Why can't I just walk the glass of ice to the sink to fill it up? I don't know! If I had a Sonic by me, and could buy bags of their ice -- I would seriously be in heaven, and a lot better hydrated.

Your computer situation is so frustrating! Inanimate objects should not be allowed to be so fickle. I hope you can resolve it soon!

I have the same stein! Does yours have a green lid, too? I'm impressed you were drinking 4-5 of those bagies each day! That's a lot of water. So good for you. I need to be better about that. I so enjoy a nice cold drink of water, especially with a lemon or lime wedge, but like you, find it a little bit more of a task than it should be to open the fridge and pour some water and plop in some ice! We're not REALLY lazy, are we? Say no. :)

Sorry about your computer. Why do they torment us like that? Really, you pay good money for something and it should just work. Everytime. All the time. Because that's its job! I hope you get the magic touch soon, or your computer decides to shape up!

sad computer news...hopefully just a fluke.

My computer randomly turns itself off too and I hate it! Sometimes it restarts itself and other times this blue screen comes on and I have to take out the battery and reboot it--so frustrating!! I think I'm going to take it somewhere over the summer when I don't need it as much. Good luck with yours!
