work in progress

A few of you have asked for photos to show what I've been working on in my scrap room. I hadn't taken any, because I felt like I still had so much to do. But then I was talking to Jill, and she said I needed to take pictures of the work in progress. Actually, what she said was that I needed to document my life. That's what got me! Jill is a master of documenting her life with a photojournalistic style. I love it, I want to become better at that. So voila! I'm documenting what I've been working on lately...

I finally got my desk completely cleared of piles! I sorted the huge stack of papers I have bought in the last few months into their respective colors and am now filing them all.

The shelf I hung (crookedly) recently. It holds my paper flower collection and some jars that will eventually contain lengths of ribbon.

A big job yet to do. I need to file the 8 1/2 x 11 papers that I decided to keep and I have a basket full of embellishments that I have bought in the last few months that still need a home...

A big pile of ribbons I've been accumulating that don't have a home yet. Hopefully they can fit in the jars on my crooked shelf -- I can't seem to stop buying ribbons! (Have I mentioned I really like to collect things? especially paper crafting-related things...)

Just a shot of my ribbon board -- something that makes me happy because it's a showcase for some of my favorite cards that I receive. And, it doesn't need any organizing because it can't hold any of my piles!

Well done my friend. I love seeing pictures of your room even when it's not perfectly organized the way you'd like it to be. It's so pleasing to see all that great stuff. You've made so much progress and have got a good system going. It's inspiring really.

I love seeing pictures of where other people create. It is inspiring for me to see new and different ways that I could use in my crafty corner. Thanks for sharing the pictures!!

Even though organizing can be such an overwhelming job at first, I like it because I can (usually) see my progress as I go. Also, I love having the final organized product before me! (I just wish I could keep my things organized for longer. *sigh*)

I am intrigued by the interest in ribbon you and a few others have. I think it's cool. I love the photojournalistic approach Jill is inspiring too. It has made life so much funner for me to try to document it with photos.

I have a silly question for you on my current post.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! I love to see what you've been up to, even if it's not the finished product. Actually, especially since it's not the finished product. I'm working on my room too, and it's a painfully slow process. So much stuff--not enough stuff. Agghhh!

Your room looks heavenly to me. I love all your spools of ribbon even if you think they look crooked. How fun to have a room for that. I would love to have a craft room--maybe some day!

Your room looks great. I am heading to mine this week to try and get some stuff together to take with me and then organize the rest. It doesn't look TOO bad because it is all shoved in somewhere but definitely not the system I want.

I love all the ribbon!

I love your pictures, I love how much ribbong you have and I still love that you hung up your own shelf. I am amazed at how much you have gotten done with a sick one year old. You're so great.
It looks like you'll never run out of supplies.
