I am loving my little Primary class. So far, only 4 have attended at any one time. A new family moved in this week, and so a new little girl was added to my roster, giving me a total of 8 possible students. One little boy and I predicted we would have 6 today, but we were wrong.
We have instituted a good news minute, which stretches out to a few minutes, they have so much enthusiasm! One boy told me for the second week in a row about the air soft gun he got for Christmas. Apparently it is such good news, it merits more than one telling.
We talked about choosing the right again today, and while I haven't looked through the whole manual, I am guessing we will be talking about that a lot this year -- so appropriate for little people who are preparing for baptism.
We examined several situations they might encounter in their young lives where they would have to make a decision. I am thoroughly charmed by how willing they are to do what is right, how insistent they are that they would do the right thing in any situation. I explained that it is hard even for grown-ups to always choose the right.
A friend of our family gave his farewell talk today before embarking on his mission to Zimbabwe. It was a wonderful talk, moving and inspirational. Such a good choice, and a good example our whole ward family.
