color days

Eva's kindergarten class has been having color days – they are assigned a different color to wear each day. I tried to get photos of each day, but somehow we missed white, black, and yellow. Those must have been more hurried, harried days.

I enjoyed color days, because it forced Eva to break out of her pink clothing rut and wear things that she doesn't usually reach for first. Eva, however, is delighted that color days are finally over so that she can choose her own clothes. Oh dear.

Incidentally, today was school picture day and she was protesting this rite of passage mightily, because she said she couldn't smile. Looking over this assemblage, I'm inclined to believe that her smile could use a little practice!

She is so beautiful! I love that this challenged her to get out of her 'pink' rut. Tough thing for a 5 year old girl.

Picture days are the biggest gamble. I feel that as a mother I have no choice but to buy a package - we mail the pics to grandmas, great grandmas, aunts, uncles but I never put them up in my house. But what mom DOESN'T buy the pictures right?

How much fun! I should make my own color days. I also think the color grid is contributing to my enthusiasm for this idea.

I love her clothes, this is how I dress Luci when she allows. I am so sad that now that she's approaching 10 I don't have as much say over her wardrobe.

Here the public schools do uniforms which is very convenient (saves me time and $) but a color week like this would be so much fun!

Oh, stop it with your graphic design skills!

Ack! Color Days are too much pressure. I would have only 4 or at most 5 of the colors available to wear...so what then? Pressure to go buy clothing in the color.

Bah humbug.

Next lesson (since I already pestered you into teaching artisan bread):

"How to create a blog banner like Michelle."

I am trying to think of a skill I could teach The Ladies (still laughing at that one), but my only skill is whistling with my fingers like a farmgirl.

The Ladies. heehee!

Thank you thank you thank you!! I LOOOVE the paris color cards. They are so beautiful, and 2 people have asked me if you sell the images for wall art. Have you ever done that? One woman wanted to contact you to see how much you would charge. How do you feel about that?

They are so creative, so lovely, and pleasing...so you!

I love love love love love it. She is sooo cute, and I am just in heaven when I look at little girls choices, boys are kind of boring....although I am okay with polos and cute shorts....and a belt, a a blazer, and a baseball hat, and, and, and the list goes on.

I second Crystal's motion for a class taught by you on blog banner creation. I LOVE your Fall one! I love the one you created for me a year-and-a-half ago but would like to move onto something more seasonal. *sigh*

LOVE your color grid, and Eva's poses.
