returning to Seattle

After 12 years of being in Utah, we're taking a trip back to Seattle, where we started our married life. We lived there for the first 7 years of our marriage, and Max was born there. We made wonderful friends there, ate wonderful food there. Marc got his Ph.D. there. I had a great job there, I learned how to quilt there, I became a mother there.

And now we're off to show the kids what it's all about. Woodland Park Zoo, Pacific Science Center, Pike's Place Market, Boeing Museum of Flight, Total Experience Music Project (and much more), here we come!

Oh MY GOSH-
I am gushing all over the place! I grew up in Kent & I love the woodland park zoo, etc. We were married in the Seattle temple & lived near auburn for 4 years- hailey was born in the same hospital as I. Why did I not know you lived there? where??

for a minute I thought you were moving to seattle- when I read the title- and my heart hurt for jill.
feewww.
I can't wait to see your posts -

yes it is a long car ride- but so worth it. The zoo isn't too far from the locks- that's a fun place & free...
have a GREAT time!!

I'm excited for you and so wish our plans could have coincided.

The last time I was in Seattle in the university district I thought about you and imagined you browsing through the bookstores and shops.

I can't wait to see Seattle through your eyes and your lense.

Should you decide you need an hour longer drive and a pit stop, don't forget our door is open.

I had no idea! So fun to return there with the whole brood after so long. I've always wanted to visit Seattle and echo Jane's thought of being anxious to see it through your pictures & posts.

How fun! I am eyeing a conference there next Spring (which would pay my airfare and the cost of the hotel) but am waiting before the baby arrives to decide if that's definitely what we want to do. Looks like a fun place for a trip, especially if you already have the inside scoop!

I can't believe that you've only been in Utah for 12 years, and I had no idea that you had such a long history in Seattle! I've heard so many wonderful things about Seattle, and it's really become a haven (or always has been?) of sorts for so many crafters and foodies in the new age DIY movement.
