12 on the 12th | June

1. Finally having the time and energy to tackle my emails that have been stacking up.
2. A little Snowbird unpacking to finish.
3. Lucas playing the piano – for fun!
4. Prepping my Primary lesson.
5. Eva's been doing a lot of painting.
6. It's been so cool and rainy, the thermostat read 65º. (I wish I had taken the picture when I got up, then it was 63º!)
7. I felt so improved, I decided to straighten my hair! After weeks of bedhead and no makeup, it was a banner day.
8. I had to get a few groceries, and I treated myself to a pot of basil. Luscious.
9. Max returned home from Trek! He got home right before we left for Eva's dance recital and surprised me by wanting to come with us, despite being exhausted. (And even though he took a quick shower, he still wanted to wear his "pioneer clothes". Cute.)
10. The grand finale (Eva's in the front on the left).
11. Her first rose.
12. Wendy's for dinner at 10:00!

p.s. I was so thrilled about the reduction of my coughing, etc. that I think I overdid it a bit. Turns out I still have some recovering to do. Oops. I guess I'll be taking it easy today. Perhaps a nap is in order...

Woohoo for already doing your 12 on the 12th! I'm so happy you felt good enough to straighten your hair and put on make-up...I know how fabulous it feels when you feel human again.

The grand finale picture is so cute!

I'm so glad that you're feeling better! Mom convinced Grandpa to buy a pot of basil to keep up Grandma's herb garden, and we enjoyed fresh basil in pasta this week. It was wonderful!

That last pic of Eva is awesome!

So sad I wasn't able to see you before we left...more reason to stop by and visit when we visit! Glad you are feeling a little better :)

I love that last picture of Eva! It looks like she had a great time. And really, who doesn't want to get Wendy's at 10 p.m.? So cute that Max wanted to keep wearing his pioneer garb. Next time let me know when you need frontier clothing, as I have binfuls in my costume collection!

I too, love the photo of Eva! She looks very proud of herself and thrilled with the "reward". It was so cute of Max to want to come. Big brothers, could anything be better?! Looks like you had a full day, so take it easy again as you try to get all the way better.

As spoken by a mom...

Hi! Thanks for your comment on my blog... Have you been in France? For what?
That's great to know other people, especially through the 12of12... I realize that even we are different women around the world, our daylife are not so different, aren't they?!

Hmmm I thought I'd already commented on this one—apparently not! I love the feeling of getting ready and doing my hair after being sick. And Eva's face is too cute in that picture.

These posts make life seem so magical. I think these little remembrances of everyday life will mean so much to your children, etc. in years to come.
