Last week, I was having difficulty with my re-entry to real life. As usual, Creative Friday was most welcome.
It was spring break here, so Jill brought her kids, and the boys were jamming on Guitar Hero.
Jill encouraging Whitney to write a thank you note. I love the way she consistently encourages them to express gratitude.
After finishing her note, Whitney went off to play with Eva – for several hours! – all for the promise of a Happy Meal toy as her reward. It was awesome.
The return of candy to Creative Friday. Not just any candy, but the best candy ever invented. {photo by Jill}
I love the way a box of crayons (even well-used ones) can entertain Eva. Today I saw a cheetah that she had drawn and asked her if she knew how to draw everything in the world. "I guess so," she answered. Oh, to have the confidence of a preschooler.
It's rather amazing how productive I can be when Eva is otherwise occupied!
We weren't feeling up to a self-portrait, so we had Max take this picture of our productivity for the day. Not bad!

I just love how your good mail stickers wrap around the edge of the envelope.
I'm happy to say that I'm back to blogging...and what a great post to come back to...I always enjoy hearing about your Creative Friday escapades...
I'm sad about your grandma...I've been keeping up with your family through your mom...I'm so sorry, Michelle...I know how much she meant to you. Everything I know about her is wonderful and good.
You gave her such a beautiful tribute...
XO
It's kind of you to say "we weren't feeling up to a self-portrait" rather than "Jill was too heinous for a self-portrait".
I am always amazed at the amount of things you two get done. That is a lot of good mail going out!
"Re-entry back into real life;" perfectly said.
I have to second Anne, I just love the way you wrap your good mail labels around the envelope. And hooray for Creative Friday -- it's such a lovely constant to have in life.
It took me WEEKS to find mini-eggs in New York City! I don't get it! I finally found some at Rite Aid and they said they had to change the display three times a day. Best candy ever.
I love those pale turquoise envelopes.
Hmm, what was the Mod Podge for?
Jill looks like a young 20-something in that photo with Whitney!
Once again, I'm totally jealous of creative Friday...*sigh*
Ah--Cadbury eggs! I was so happy to find a small bag in my airline carry-on bag that I had forgotten about. They're the only ones I've had all season!
Love the SP variation.
