return of Creative Friday!

How I've missed this!

And Sonic vanilla diet Coke -- yum.

I love this picture that Jill took, it gives such a good overview.

Ditto on this one -- it's the kind of thing I see every single day, but I've never thought to take a picture like that. Real life.

It was our first C.F. since school got out, so we felt inundated with kid chaos. Fortunately, they had a great time. I think they spent most of their time playing the "R.P.G. game" (role-playing game for the uninitiated -- gotta love that redundancy!) This involves setting up forts which are houses, shops, etc. They spent way more time setting up the game than actually playing it. (It takes time to make fake money, don't you know?)

I was quite shocked that Lucas would do so much writing by choice. He started a town newspaper. This game's alright by me!

And Landon was taking magazine subscriptions!

I love Jill's good mail record-keeping. She was super-productive and wrote (I think) 15 cards! I started catching up on my birthday tags.

Yep, I still have my cold sores (sigh). But the return to Creative Friday must be documented!

I'm so glad that Creative Friday is back! I love reading about it. My sister gets cold sores from the sun and they are the bane of her existence in summer b/c it doesn't even take a sunburn-just the heat will do it. And then, she spends the next few weeks feeling self-conscious about them, too.

Oh my, it was disturbing to click over to your blog to see that life-sized picture of me first thing. Eek!

It was so nice to be back in action, even though it was a challenge to have the kid chaos going on. They were really good, it's just going to be an adjustment to our usual ways.

Yay! I'm so glad you could get back with CF! And I love the RPG. Em and I used to do that all time. One of my favorite games was playing hotel. We'd take reservations on an old phone, check "people" in, and show them to their rooms. Very fun.

What is that way cute shirt you have on?!

I don't know about that game, but it looks like the kids really had fun, and also if Jessie gets ahold of it, she could finally have that paying library she has always wanted!!

Glad you're back on track!

How fun and fortunate for you both that your kids get along so well together. Those town newsletters would be hilarious to look back on in a few years!
