As I was reading Eva a bedtime story tonight (The Sleep Book, a personal favorite), she spontaneously said, "Mama, you're always happy."
While I know that it's not really true, I still think it's the best compliment I've ever received.

That is definitely a compliment - I always wonder how my kids view me. One day Griffin asked me, "Mama, is your boss a bully?" and that upset me because it hit me that I complain about work a lot more than I realize, even though I love my work!
:o) gotta make you feel good inside when out of the mouth of babes is a delightful statement like that!
That is a seriously great compliment, especially coming from one of the kids!!
What a great way to end a day! I love that compliment!!
"to me, you are".
Coming from anyone, that would be a nice compliment. Coming from a little person who sees you at your best and worst and every where in between- awesome!
What a nice compliment!! Very meaningful that she sees you in that light... (I do too...)
well it's high praise and well deserved. doesn't it make you feel good to know that even if you're going through a rough time, it doesn't poison the way you act towards your children? by your fruits ye shall know them. even when you feel so awful inside you are still producing good fruit. that is the key.
