We returned safely from our road trip last night, and I am left with two thoughts:
1. What is it with odometers? I was keeping track of how many miles we were traveling, as well as our speed (around 80 mph), and it just wasn't matching up. We were averaging 60 miles an hour, even though we were almost always going faster than that. What gives?
2. One of Jill's Mood-Lifting mixes saved me. I listened to it a ton and it kept me feeling peppy and awake, singing and grooving. If the Indigo Girls' Get Out the Map isn't the best road trip song ever, I don't know what is.

I don't know what to tell you about the odometer since I'm mathematically challenged.
Hooray for the mood-lifting mix success!
totally agree about Get Out the Map.
My favorite road trip mix is the upbeat one yuo made for my move!
Looking forward to/dreading a large photo diary of the trip. I'm sure you know what I mean, right?
Good luck with your week-after hangover. That's how I feel after a trip; I am emotionally & physically hungover.
At least you came home to a dry house! Yay! Welcome home and get blogging--I missed you.
i always thought that odometer thing was just me not being able to do multiple math operations. perhaps there's something more to it...
congrats on a successful road trip! and jill is the queen of the mix cd. i love it! only she could produce something that will get 3 children under the age of 5 singing all the words to. (and yes- they know ALL the words now....).
a road trip mix! what a great idea!
get out the map is one of my favorite songs of all time. mood lifting for sure.
glad you're home safe and sound.
i'm so music inept. i wouldn't even know what to put together for a road trip mix.
