say it isn't so

I just started folding my laundry, only to discover that an entire load was contaminated with dark yellow spots. I went downstairs to investigate further and found this:

Yes, someone had a yellow crayon hidden in his/her pocket. And of course, no one has any knowledge of said crayon. Nothing like ruining a whole load of clothes... let me know if you have any great trips.

Oh no, laundry-sabotage by an unknown child, that's related to Whitney's mysterious retainer loss...it just happened.

So sorry, Michelle. My husband is constantly leaving ink pens in his pants pockets... only to be discovered when I'm taking a load of black-spotted clothing out of the dryer. It makes me crazy.

I did a quick google search and found a great post about this very subject. You might wanna give it a try. If you do, let us know how it turns out!

Melted Crayon Dried on Clothing

Yikes! I have heard that using mineral spirits works for crayon on clothes- although I don't know if you just dab or what.

If I actually fold my laundry today and find crayon all over stuff, I know I would feel defeated.

You sure look cute though :)

Oh yeah, like when Luci pooped in her pants but said she didn't do it. Swore she didn't do it. Kim said, "Well then quit loaning your Hello Kitty underwear out at schhol, letting people poop in them, and then put them back on and wear them home from school and leave them on our floor."
Hmm.

I'm just sayin'.

I understand all too well.

I have missed you all!

The sun is setting on the last day of Lent and it has been a looooong 39 and 3/4 days!

They never outgrow it.
I have a whole collection of items on my dryer- the new greasy horrible offender is chapstick!

Wish I had a solution for you!

Sorry, wish I had some great solution for you. I don't know. I hate stuff like this. I get it all the time and now even Ryan say's It's not me!

Incidents like this make me crazy. I hope Google pulls through with some remedy!

oh. no. seriously- this trumps the time shane threw a pair of poopy underwear (from kellen- he had an accident and shane "forgot" to dump it out) in the washing machine. that seems minor now...

is there any way you can freeze the clothes and peel the crayon off? or did it go through the dryer, too?

good luck!

I hope you were able to get the spots out! I had that disaster when "Not Me" who lives in our house left a lip gloss in a jean pocket.

Haven't had the crayon incident yet but have had to deal with chapstick and bizarrely enough...are you ready for this?--
A duck egg! --totally my fault, but I sooooo wanted to blame someone for it!-- I stuck one of the eggs in my coat pocket, and forgot about it...I put it in the dryer later to warm it up--(how spoiled am I!) and when I went to take the jacket out, it was like an egg bomb had exploded in the dryer!!--It was literally cooked onto the dryer and coat! What a nightmare to get that scrubbed off!

Never try this at home....

I hope you were able to get the crayon out...(I have a suspicion as to who your "Not Me" was) :)

OH man, too funny...even though I'm sure you weren't feeling it at the moment. I love this pic...it's hilarious and really captures it all.

this happens more than I would like to admit, though never crayons. I'm glad you were able to get most of it out.

NOOOOOO! Same thing happened to me ... blue crayon that nobody ever even used!

Uh huh, right.

Glad you found a cleaning solution. I was not as fortunate.

I do like the picture of you with that naughty crayon, though! Very funny!
