Lucas made a joke about how it was a good thing he wasn't a "bull boy", because then he'd need a red cape and the job would be much more dangerous.
I had no idea what he was talking about, because "bull boy" sounded exactly, exactly like "bowl boy". When I finally figured it out, I was attempting to demonstrate the difference in pronunciation between bowl and bull, only to be mocked mercilessly by my children.
The thing was, it was pretty funny. And you have to be able to laugh at yourself as a mom or you'd be tempted to cry.

sorry it was at your expense but they are pretty funny :o)
oh my goodness...how much fun to hear your voice and see your darling boys. (though mocking you)
you MADE my night. 9 michelle comments? i was thrilled when i logged in. Wow. That may be a record!
thanks for not forgetting about me in my blog absence...
You have to laugh at yourself. It's a hard lesson sometimes! Your voice is sweet.
Pretty darn cute! But I could hardly pay attention for checking out the broad shoulders developing on Max!!
So fun to hear the kids! Thanks.
oh my kids make fun of me on a regular basis- I wish I didn't give them so much amunition!
great video- great boys- great mom
We teased my mom about her aerobics work out all the time. But to be fair, it was funny to watch her do it.

cute video! being mocked is definitely part of the job description. but my kids share the teasing from me so i can't ever get too mad! their day will come!
They are so cute being all proud of themselves.
Thanks for my wonderful birthday tags!!
Whoa! When did Max get so big?!!!
That's got to be why the English language is so hard to learn. They DO sound an awful lot alike - although your boys, with their inflection, make your point well:)
Ah the things we do for our kids...accepting mockery. What else can you do, but laugh at yourself.
Their inflections were cracking me up.
Right on, Michelle. We HAVE to be able to laugh at ourselves. Good grief, our kids laugh at us all the time!
The funniest part to me is picturing what a Bull Boy's job might actually entail, and what outfit or costume would be required! Way to take the mocking like a real mom.
I love it how seemingly mundane tasks and interactions can prove to be hilarious!
Your Boo the Little Ghost has me laughing. Don't you love stubborn littles? I've got one of those myself. I loved all of this randomness, Michelle.
I added that book to my to-read's. It doesn't look like one I'd pick up on my own either..but I love those kind of happy surprises. I have a secret fear that I'll run out of good books.
That comment was meant for the above post. As for this one, it totally cracked me up. My boys are still pretty young, but I'm sure I'll give them plenty of fodder for Mother mockery over the years...
