Boy was I ever at a loss for last week's challenge on parties and entertaining! I guess I haven't been doing much of that...
But for this week, on creativity inspired by other bloggers, I have a plethora of examples. These were just the ones I thought of off the top of my head, but I'm sure there are more. Bloggers are a creative bunch, and as an idea-challenged girl, I am grateful for the ideas that other share.
Kristi blogged about the packages she made for her young women so they could get to know her better. I was called to be the Laurel advisor shortly thereafter and jumped on the idea. I called it a "friendship shortcut" -- it was fun and the girls loved them! Thanks, Kristi. (Kristi also taught me that cellophane and ribbon can make anything cute, and it is so true. It's a good trick to know.)
I can't even remember whose blog I copied the 12 Dates of Christmas idea from... (oops!) so if it was yours, let me know! It was Marc's favorite gift, ever.
I used Wende's idea of tag books for correspondence between parents and children. We just barely implemented this, but my boys love them and I'm sure it's going to be a great thing. Thanks, Wende.
Amy H. taught some friends how to do coptic book-binding, and then she helped me figure out how to make this book for Jessie. It was one of the most fun projects I've ever done! Thanks, Amy.
I love making things. I love doing things with my hands, and I love to give handmade gifts. I'm indebted to so many bloggers for sharing their ideas and projects and making my head spin with possibilities and excitement.

Love all the ideas, they are all so cute! I need some time so I can copy you!
I always think of you as a source of creativity, so it's fun to see where your inspiration comes from.
I never thought of you as idea-challenged, not all all! I love to see other bloggers' ideas too.
Cute ideas! Now I can steal them from you.
i am always in awe of the goodness you share on your blog. something that sticks in my mind is the christmas present you gave jill a few years ago (the little box with all of the *friend info* in it.)
i also love the 12 dates of christmas idea, as well! i had let that slip from my radar screen.
I'm so glad you included the 12 dates of Christmas. I read your post about that when you did it and loved it, but it had completly slipped my mind. I totally want to do that for Dirk this year. Wanna write another reminder in November?
That is one cool, totally creative bunch of friends with ideas!!
Great inspirations! I love them all.
Not only was the 12 dates book my favorite gift, it was in the perfect book for me--a French philosopher writing about creativity. Feel free to add a second volume for next year.
love your 12 dates booklet. Hope you find out who did it originally. I would love a tutorial.
You're a packaging wizard. You know how to give the right touch to make things look outstanding.
it's hard to think of you as an "idea challenged" person! you are so classy, i always feel like everything you touch turns to GOLD! - true!
and i think you born to make things with your hands and be creative, that's why you love it so much!
hee hee- the link for Kristi is for another everythingpink blog. What are the odds.
Remind me about the 12 dates of Christmas. I think my husband would love it. Will you send me an email?
xoxo
Yeah, I want to make a 12 Dates of Christmas album, too. Could you refresh my memory about where you posted about it?
I have never thought of you as an idea-challenged person. That one just made me laugh!
Very fun and cute ideas. You are one talented lady, even if you got the ideas from someone else you still did them. way to go.
