spt -- grass

Last week I took the kids to the library. After we found our books and played our traditional I Spy game with the stained-glass windows, we went down to the courtyard where they love to run around and play their own brand of chess on the paving stones.

I love stones with grass growing in-between! Maybe someday, when I have a backyard again...

I sat on a bench watching them and reading the introduction to one of the books I checked out (Body for Life). I was in a nice shady spot and I was really loving the grass underneath my feet. I soon shed my shoes so I could enjoy it better.

Eventually I gave up the bench altogether and stretched out on the grass. It was really nice, soft grass. No weeds in sight. Cool. I was loving summer that day.

That is a great trip to the library indeed! Love that you laid down! I would have done the same thing.

My sister in law did Body for Life and loved it.

What cute self-portraits! I think Jessie's mad-self portrait skills have rubbed off on you.

You do have mad self-portrait skills! You and Jill are inspiring me to carry my camera everywhere I go and abandon all self consciousness at taking photos. Sounds like a great summer day!

It sounds ideal. One of our county libraries is next to a park. I love checking out books and then heading over to the park with the kids because it usually gives me a few minutes to myself!

Very cute portrait too!

Great self portraits! If I decided to lie down in the grass I'd end up with Jill's itchy epidermal problem.

You have a gift for gorgeous self-portraits.

And oh how I wish we had summer grass you could actually LAY on!

How are you liking Body For Life? Are you planning to start it? I've gone through it before & it was fabulous...planning another round as soon as I can muster some post-baby energy. Want to be mentors?

cute cute spt....I think the grass with the cement brings me back to childhood....I think I like it but not my favorite. I think your spt are becoming more original and creative. I took a photo session the other day...I just spend some time getting pretty...which is long and in between...so i needed to document it. Lately is the only feedback of telling myself...hey you are not doing that bad! pep talk! hehehehhhee
