June monthly special

I did Marc's challenge for June on Take-out Photo. These are some of my favorite photos from our trip to Charleston in 2006. I wanted to use more than 9 photos, so I went to a 12x12 canvas. I couldn't get the spacing to work out perfectly, so I have a slightly larger outside margin on the left side and on the bottom. Not ideal, but...

... I'm still happy with the results. If I print it out, I will probably trim the excess to make it an even 1/4" around all sides.

It was fun! I have some more ideas, so I may play around with this some more.

That looks great!

I didn't think you'd have this done so quickly. Nice variation with the larger square in the middle. This will definitely have to go up on the photo wall.

What a great idea, Michelle and what wonderful memories.

LOVE IT! I have one in the works that uses a larger picture in the center too but I have been unsure, now I think I will just roll with it because it turned out so nice here. This is a beautiful layout.

I think this looks fantastic! I'm so excited to try this and am sure I'll want to do this with everything once I get the hang of it. Woohoo!

I love your new banner and am glad you changed back to a white background.

Your summertime banner is so fun!

And I think your photo page is great. Nothing to take away from the photos, clean and simple. My ideal page.

So glad you are on the upswing and things are looking good around your house!

i thought your photo project - i agree with marc, definitely one for the wall!

i love your new banner, side walk chalk brings me so much joy, especially an un-touched fresh box.

i think your new hair is fantastic, i love how theraputic the hair stylist can be! ...and any time you make mint brownies, it definitely counts as a celebration!

I fear I may be retarded. I'm working on this challenge and am stuck at step 6, what's wrong with me?

Wow! (Have you seen that fios commercial for high speed everything that has the father, then mother, then child, then baby, then dog, then cat,and lastly the flea on the cat saying "wowwwwwwwww"? That's how I feel when I see that, and then I feel slightly sad! I wish we were going there this year, I REALLY need some kind of a break......

oh well, I'll have to be content with looking at that collage and I too, LOVE the new banner,it's great!

(I'm trying to let it overtake the image in my mind of the "equipment" in the FR......

This is beautiful! Oh, to have talent...

Ok, I just hopped over to Marc's blog to check out the photo challenge details, read his "about me," and laughed because I may be the ONLY person that knows the meaning of the word "dilettante." ha! I can see the talent for writing is a common thread here.

"Common thread" meaning btwn you & marc. Not btwn me & marc.

Brother. Time to go to BED. Glad you're feeling better.

I love it Michelle! So creative to put the big photo in the middle. I want to do this with everything now, I think I'm addicted, :).

Note to Jill, I was stuck on step six for pretty much the whole day and then it just clicked. You've got skills, I know you can do it. Stick with it!

Your grid turned out great. I don't have photoshop! I really must commit to that purchase.

That is really beautiful.

I want to do this challenge, but the tricky part is finding 9 decent photos.

Thanks for your nice comments on my blog, and for your feedback. I can't wait to play with it more! I'm so glad your husband is doing this!

Love love your grid. What a great idea to expand it even more and have a larger picture in the middle. Such great pictures too. Great way to document your vacation!
