spt -- clean hands

Given the battle I've been waging against the mice here lately, this was the obvious choice for the clean hands spt... Today I was just baiting traps, and I still had to wash my hands several times before I could stop shuddering. Yesterday I was emptying them. Ewwwwww....

So far, I don't have to urge Eva to wash her hands, ever. She requests my help with this at least 10 times a day. Sometimes I am tempted to tell her no, that she just washed her hands 10 minutes ago, and they are not currently dirty, but I figure -- what kind of mother discourages her child from hand-washing? So we go with it.

This is the self-portrait we took together today, after several rounds of hand-washing on both our parts. Good times.

What a cute photo. Sorry for your messy business. I would not be able to handle the emptying.

Handwashing! Jared loves to do this too. He always says "wash UP! wash UP!" and so we do. I think it is great that they want clean hands. I'd be washing my hands at least 3 times over after having to deal with mice traps! Hope you are finally rid of the little monsters!

That last one is a total framer- I LOVE IT! Mya was totally into washing her hands all the time before she *had* to with the potty training. Your expression in the first picture is so cute btw!

I love those pictures - Eva is SO CUTE in that last one! And good choice, with the mouse trap. (: Good luck in the battle against mice!

I just love self-portrait Tuesday and love the picture of you and Eva together, it's so cute.

How delightful that she's a little hand washer. What about the time Lucas said, "Oh our family doesn't do that?"

I love your new look, and I hugely applaud your emptying of mouse traps on your own. That is something I honestly don't think I could handle.

That picture of you two is SO cute--I love the "friend-ness" I get out of seeing you two being goofy! Ah, I miss my mom.

oh, and despite the mouse trap, you look really pretty in the first photo. What is that Lucas quote Jill speaks of? I don't know that one, though he has produced some pretty great and oft-quotable things...

Cute photo of you hand washing girls! I hope the mice are soon extinct so you can wash your hands after more pleasant tasks.

Great idea. Yes, after handling mouse type things, wash!!!! Yuk. We use those glue strips so all you have to do is pick up the plastic container and throw it away. No loading and unloading.

Those expressions are hilarious!

I hadn't thought through the 'practicalities' of dealing with the traps. Urgh. Poor you!

I had some traumatic mouse related experiences as a child. Just looking at that trap gave me the willies.
