I just love it when my kids choose other activities over screen-watching when they have the choice. Lucas was (uncharacteristically) ready for school rather early this morning. Instead of plopping in a comfy chair to watch SpongeBob or play Nintendo as I would have predicted, he got out his paper airplane book.
First, there was some deliberation over which planes to make.
Then he moved on to assembly and test flights.
And finally, he made four planes for this little hanger-on who wants to be a part of everything he does. Now that's some good productivity and entertainment -- and all before 8:30 a.m.!

I love the same thing. The TV in the morning just sets me off for some reason.
I found a book about paper airplanes at a yard sale this weekend (looks like the same one) and Nathan has been looking at it ever since. And all that before 830 is some great productivity.

ooh I so know what you mean. At this very moment Miriam is pretending to write the alphabet and hasn't stopped to ask for her "shows" yet. It's nice to blog in peace (because she can only watch things on our computer).

I'm always pleased when Landon chooses to do something other than screen watching too. That's just sad.
Wow! Impressive! We've got book reading and piano practicing, but never anything quite so creative! GOod for him!

I'm with Jill she looks adorable, and I TOO agree with the binky/dummy the make the best fotos. Sometimes I am amazed that if I don't turn on the TV they just naturally entertain themselves doing something else. Cool a book on paper planes...I still love to do them and fly them....tom boy deep down
