First of all, he had to resort to singing the Yo Gabba Gabba song (there's a party in my tummy; so yummy! so yummy!), but that's not really that unusual since we learned that song. Eva wanted him to play with one of the dinosaur nuggets -- it had to pretend to cry, then she asked why it was crying, then it had to say "because I want to go to the party in your tummy", yada yada yada.
That's not even the worst of it! She must have decided this was the perfect opportunity to play pretend (her favorite thing in life) while seeming to eat her dinner, because she then wanted the nuggets to take a bath. And they needed to have bath toys.
In conclusion: 1. can you even believe how her dad indulges her? and 2. can you believe that he jumped through all these hoops just to get her to eat 2 dinosaur chicken nuggets, of all things?!

That deleted comment was me, Lori was signed in on my computer so I had to redo it.
Wow, this is a lovely blog makeover, I love your banner!
No, I can't believe Marc went to such great lengths to get Eva to eat. Is this the new precedent?
LOVE the banner. Wowzers.
And this has me giggling- and Linc as well. He said that Dads will do just about anything when it comes to pleasing their little women- or getting them to shut up and eat.
Once again, I will never, ever, EVER complain, EVER about Mya not eating all of her dinner, or finishing her dinner, or anything regarding food. Marc truly does indulge her. I would not be able to put up with that without losing my mind on a daily basis. You are a good mom my friend. We need to revisit day camp btw.
LOVE the new look. I wish I knew anything about computers b/c I would love to do something new... you might have to help me.
We also sing that song regularly and recount the 'i want to go to the party... the party in your tummy!' but we haven't done a bath with her food yet...
i miss eva.
oh the lengths a dad will go through...
scott is much more patient with hoops than i am usually, though i chalk that up to his hoops being much less often than mine!
and stunning banner. wow...
though i loved the old one, too. both seem to be "you"
Lovely banner! Is that your Musee d'Orsay shot?
I can't believe it went all the way to bath toys... it worked, though, so I guess you have a new dinner game!
I too, am loving the new blog look! I don't think I have ever changed mine...ha! I think it's because usually my blogging/commenting time happens clandestinely at work, when I need a little break.
And so funny about Eva and her Dad! I will be interested to see how indulgent Mark is as a dad someday. ;0
I am amazed at the lengths you have to go to for Eva to eat. The cute polka dot plate would be enough for me to want to eat!
LOVE the new look Michelle! Very happy color and beautiful banner! When is that tutorial?
I LOVE your new banner! WOW!
The things we do to have our children eat! It was a great read though! :-) Yo gabba gabba is an intersting show!
First, I love your new blog look! Love the banner!
Second, I am in awe that he would do all of that just for 2 chicken nuggets. He must be a saint!
No, I can't believe. If my kids don't like what we are eating for dinner (or any other meal), then that means they don't eat. I try to serve at least one thing at each meal that everyone likes. If they don't want to eat beyond that then too bad, too sad. But that is just me!!
That is one sweet daddy to go to such great lengths to get his baby girl to eat.
That's too funny.
Marc is so great to be so patient with her. I don't think I would be.
I love the new look on your blog!
I too, am in love with the new look. I love your style, so elegant.
Eva has a great imagination, you can be happy about that even if she may be malnutritioned:) (that was a joke, I say as long as they are growing and happy things are going okay)
First of all, I love your banner! It's so cool. Second, oh, the lengths we'll go to to get our kids to eat. I usually take the "let 'em starve" tactic. Not too kind, but it usaully works. My kids are fabulous breakfast eaters!
LOVE, LOVE the new look. I really want to change mine up too. You did a great job!
I waver between playing food games like that and getting fed up and not caring if they eat at all (not really but...) Love that Marc got in on the food games. Eva is so funny!
What a dad! This was too funny! So, was it a bubble bath?
We have the same philosophy as Natasha over here. I have on occassion had to point out to Jimmy what he is making James eat. It is funny when we realize we are begging them to eat something unhealthy anyway, like nuggets or with James it is usually sauce or dips. Wouldn't we all be better off if we didn't like the "extras."
No way! I can just imagine the entire thing!
Missing you all........
