It seems that when grandparents are around, everything is more fun. More fun for Eva, because she has more adoring people around to play with. (More fun for me, because Eva has more adoring people around to play with. But that's not the only reason!)
Breakfast is a whole lot more fun, because you can watch Grandma put her makeup on, and she'll even let you play with her brushes -- even if they still have dark eyeshadow on them! (and even if your "help" makes everything take way longer)
A trip to Target is more fun because you can share your popcorn and cherry Icee with Grandma & Grandpa. (and ask incessantly "where Grandpa go?" -- he gets tired of looking at bras and the like)
A trip to Old Navy is more fun because you get to get out of the cart and have a fashion show. Plus, Grandma buys you cute clothes!
Your mom might even get distracted enough to let you escape for a little while.
And if you're lucky, you might get to play hide and seek with Grandpa!
When "Grandma's friends" (a.k.a. Aunt Denise and Charlotte) come over, you can have even more fun, because they are rapt fans of your singing performances.
Even Home Depot is more fun than you ever knew, because Grandpa carries you and shows you the Cinderella rugs!
{Max & Lucas got in on some of the fun after school when Grandma & Grandpa took them miniature golfing and out for Chinese food, but we are sadly lacking in photodocumentation of those activities.}
Now it's back to boring old Mom, because we took Grandma & Grandpa to the airport today... :(

Oh, that was a quick trip for your parents. It looks like lots of fun was packed into their trip, though. I loved all the pictures of Eva. Her pigtails are adorable.
love the photo documentation. sounds like a fun trip! i also love the trips to stores with grandmothers who buy clothes ( : your eva is a cutie.
I loved how you wrote this Michelle. What lucky kids.
Cute photos Michelle. It looks like Eva was in heaven for the 3ish days your parents were in town. I want to see all the fun stuff you got, I'm sure it's all painfully cute. Is that a post of it's own?
oh that is so, so true. i often feel that way-- back to boring old mom...and i think the girls feel it too. lol.
fun pics...
It sounds like you had a wonderful visit with your parents. Grandparents are the best!
I am still laughing about Eva's performance of Primary songs and have recounted the entire scene to Grandma, Grandpa, John, Sarah, and Emily numerous times. "I want to follow Lucas!" (a new verse to "Follow the Prophet," for those of you who weren't there.) She is an entertaining one, that Eva.
It was sure fun to see you and your darling family. I feel the same way now--back to boring old life now....
P.S.: I can never eat regular salsa again. I want the kind you had!
What cute grandparents. It sounds like everyone, especially Eva had a great time.
I loved singing songs with Eva--she's SO cute!!
It's kind of sad for me to see you guys at 'my' target, and 'my' old navy, and 'my' home depot since I have such a clear picture of all of those things.
I missed you guys this weekend :(
Oh, how we love grandparents and how we hate to see them go.
I love that even home depot is more fun with grandpa! :)
So nice they could come for Lucas' baptism- I hope it was a nice, though short weekend, for your family!
I agree- everything is more fun with grandparents - looks like you guys had a great couple of days! Your girl is such a doll!
So cute- I am sure Eva was in heaven. Having great grandparents is such a blessing for everyone around.
What fun parents you have! They are so cute! I love that they spent so much fun time with your littles!
