Palais Royal
We finally had a chance to go to Palais Royal, one of my favorite spots in Paris. Apparently we need to have visitors to force us to make time to do these things! (Jill, I'm sick that we never had time to go there -- I'd love to see the photos you would take!)
There is a huge courtyard with tons and tons of these painted columns in varying heights. I was going for something artistic here with the 3 kids, but it never really worked out.
Max brought along the super-sticky bubbles that his grandparents got him in England. They don't pop when they land, and you can actually hold them!
He then became the pied piper to all and sundry Parisian children playing at Palais Royal.
I would love to just sit by this fountain with my feet up and a good book... maybe in another 5 or 10 years!
I had to capture this rare moment where Eva actually condescended to hold somebody's hand!
This is a storefront. All it has in the window is "Very confidential." and a phone number! What could be more intriguing? Now I want to know what this business is! Is it a private eye? A hit man? Any ideas??

I love that last picture! And the one of Max blowing the bubbles over the kids.
I don't think I have ever seen Eva wearing something that is not sooo cute. I hope she is sleeping better.
I'm bummed we didn't get to go there, especially since we were so close to it that last afternoon. Ah well, we'll definitely make it there next time right?
The pictures are beautiful. Eva's dress is so cute.
I would love to know what that business is!
Love the pictures. I am with Jill, I love Eva's dress.
Those bubbles sound awesome! The storefront is cracking me up! Call the number just to see!
I'm laughing at the Pied Piper Max. I glad the bubbles were such a hit.
Your photos are gorgeous and I never tire at looking at them.
Your tree hugger is quite adorable. Precious!
Palais Royal was high on my list of things that we didn't have time for- sigh.
When are we going back again?
(Next week would be a good one for me to have a pedometer challenge with Lucas if you are still counting steps!)
i see why you love this place so...
Nothing peeks someone's interest like telling them to go away. You would never find a sign like that in the US. So unusual.
What fun. And of course it's not the beauty of the place but the bubbles the kids love right?
