They all arrived safely, and Jill is a traveling champ. Apparently it's her international travel debut. The transatlantic flight was shorter and easier than she had anticipated, and she has held up through everything just beautifully!The weather here has been unseasonably hot. Really hot. And humid. Not at all the cool, pleasant spring weather we were anticipating. So we sweat all day, and there is no chance of me having a good hair day.
But yesterday evening was bliss! It got all cloudy and cool and there was a big rainstorm. We headed to the Eiffel Tower to take photos, then got caught in a downpour. It foiled our plans for walking on the Champs-Elysees, but it brought a wonderful coolness, so I'm all for it. The Champs-Elysees will still be there tomorrow!
I know I say this all the time, but seriously -- best book club ever.
