sunrise

This was the view from our deck at 7:00 this morning. One of my favorite things about living in Utah is seeing the pink light on the mountains. Usually I see it at sunset -- Winter sunsets are especially beautiful. Today I caught this sunrise!

...and at 7:20, with the sun just barely coming up on the peaks.

Yesterday I missed at least three great photo opportunities because I didn't bring my camera with me to the dentist's office. When will I learn? I took Max back to get his new retainer put in, and they had the giant jar of straws on the counter still, with a sign that said Congratulations Max! The hygienists were telling him he was famous around there. It was pretty cute. Also, Eva overcame her terror of the rocking horse they have in the waiting room. Previously, she wouldn't even walk past it to get to the other toys, but today she actually wanted to ride on it! Even the receptionist noticed her sudden bravery. But alas, I have no photographic proof of these things.

This is the scene on the desk in my scrapbook room right now. Many Christmas projects are underway, and I am feeling completely panicked about the way my deadlines are speeding toward me. Sure hope I can make some good progress today!

The sunrise pictures are beautiful, I especially love the pink one.

You know I find camera-forgetfulness to be very upsetting, hopefully these missed opportunities will serve as painful reminders thereby thwarting future forgetfulness. (I've forgotten my camera 3 times and each time was most frustrating.)

How funny that Max is a celebrity at the dentist's office. Kudos to Eva for conquering her fear of the rocking horse!

I remember those pink mountains--lovely. Glad to hear Eva is already conquering her fears. Way to go Eva! And yes, I HATE when I don't have my camera!

Your pictures are gorgeous. You have quite a few. I hate when I forget my camera when I see a moment!

Your desk looks very festive and I am sure you will have some amazing projects done in a few weeks.

I love the look of your desk and hope you post a lot of what you are working on. Both your mountain view and pictures are fantastic. I too love the pink tone they take on this time of year.

The pictures are absolutely beautiful.
Don't feel to bad I bet not many people think to take their camera to the dentist... maybe just Jill :)
You're lucky Eva will play with they toys. Last time I took Joshy to the doctor, he remembered where we were in the first 5 minutes of being there and just cried the whole time we were waiting and then of course when we were in with the doctor too. I don't get why my kids are so afraid of the doctor and why they have to such long memories at such a young age. For Kira when any time we even turn onto Bulldog (our doctor is on University Ave) she asks if we are going to the doctor.

I feel your pain. Ever since we moved (it's been 3 months now) I haven't been able to find my digital camera. I go to get it and then remember oh yeah. So I haven't had any quick pics, I can't tell you how many times I've wanted just a quick picture I could upload to my computer. ARGH!!

One of my favorite things about blogging is reading the blogs of those of you along the wasatch front. I loved my time there and love to see the glimpses posted. I loved walking in the mornings and seeing that pink sky rise up.

The sunrise is gorgeous. I caught that as well, but was not brave enough to venture out. It's so cold out there. Are you crazy?

I love to see your table of creativity. I hope you're able to get a lot done in a short time with no stress. Can't wait to see what you do.

Just today I forgot my camera when going to the dentist. There were at least 10 photo ops and I was very annoyed with myself. Especially because early this morning I thought to put it in my purse and then didn't do it. UGH!

I love the mountain pictures, they are so stunning. I have never lived in Utah so I haven't seen them very often. Thanks for posting!

I love the sunrise pictures.

At least you have your Christmas projects started. I am choosing to ignore the "hard" things/people.
