a very happy easter
We had such a great Easter yesterday. Our church services were very nice, we had family over for a big dinner, the kids had their Easter egg hunt. It was a very busy weekend, with all of Saturday spent preparing for the celebration. Here was the menu for our Easter feast: glazed ham, my mom's sweet mustard sauce, scalloped potatoes (we call them gratin dauphinois), spinach salad, homemade rolls, strawberry cream cheese pie. It's been awhile since we had people over for dinner, so that was really fun. Marc even taught Max a fancy way to fold napkins! Sadly, between church, naps, and general chaos, I didn't get a single good picture of Eva in her Easter dress and coat! We're going to have a do-over on another day. I had some great discussions with Lucas about the Savior and resurrection. All in all, it was a day of family, fun, and reflection -- I'd say just about perfect.

I've been checking your blog like crazy waiting for the Easter update. The pictures are darling (of course), and I can't believe Eva can finally wear that cutest spring coat. It seems like just yesterday we were shopping for that and guessing which size to get and hoping she'd be walking by the spring. So fun.
Thanks for having us- I would say it was perfect too, but of course I didn't have to do any work. I'm sorry it was so time-consuming for you, but we had so much fun. We NEVER go anywhere for dinner. EVER- so it was really fun, not to mention SO tasty!! Alas, I miss it today when I will have Corn Chex for dinner. Thanks :)
I am waiting for the day when Dad and I can have you all for dinner at our house, every
Sunday if we want! The menu sounds divine and the rolls look better then Denise's! (Could that be possible?!) Max is looking way too old and too tall......wish we were there.
love it! we didn't get one photo of the girls in their matching dresses. the madness of perfection drives me insane. i just can't do it all.
i love the coat!! i can't wait to see more fun photos.
i can't believe she is walking. sally jane just starting crawling and only does the army crawl not even the full hands and knees.
So glad to hear you had a great Eater. Did Marc tell you I chatted with him on Friday???
Glad your Easter was awesome. Family dinners are the best there is sometimes :)
Nice pictures of the kids. I too didn't get any good pics of my kids in their easter outfits so we are going to try this week to get a few- if they can stand to be all dolled up again!
Cute pictures! I really want to eat that whole pan of yummy looking rolls and they're homemade even, I'm so jealous. I'm excited for you that you had such a nice time with your family and enjoyed the holiday. I miss holiday dinners with the fam.
