finally finished!

Jessie and I have each been making 20 composition books for a design workshop our mom is having next month. Although it was a project, it went faster than I thought it would, largely due to the fact that Jessie turned me onto using glue stick to adhere the papers to the book (a real timesaver), and that she pre-cut all my papers for me (thanks, Jess!). I am way excited to be finished. Now I can get out and do some more yardwork and enjoy the return of spring. I may even get back to my art journal tonight. Oh the possibilities...

Love them! They turned out so nicely. What kind of workshop is your Mom doing?

I'm not exactly sure. I think she's taking people on a tour of her home, stopping at certain points to teach them about different design principles that are illustrated by some part of the decor. ? maybe Mom can further illuminate us...

Congrats on finishing, that was a huge accomplishment and it really didn't monopolize your time the way you thought it would--bonus! They look great, and I love the innovation of having the ribbon going horizontally across the cover.

I hope you have time to work on your art journal tonight, I love everything you've done so far.

So did they trun out okay with the warping and whatnot? They look great, and I'm glad we can both return to more personally gratifying creative endeavors. (although I'm not balking at a great way to make $!)

WHAT!!!!!!!!!! You made these. I am amazed. they are beauttiful. i love the ribbon usage.

you should get a die made of the outside of the cover if you make a lot. you can get a die made for about $50 from a printer and then you could have all the covers cut at one time. it may be worth it.

Michelle, these are gorgeous! I love the paper on the lower right book, who makes it? I have yet to visit a scrapbook store here b/c I know I will DIE when I see the prices. Typically things are double, ie a sheet of 75 cent paper is $1.50.

Painfully cute anyway. No surprise.
