Babies, that is. Eva has discovered a newfound love of kitties, in all shapes and forms. Her favorite books are books about cats, her favorite stuffed animals are of course cats. My question is this: how in the world can she make a connection between photos of cats, drawings of cats, realistic-looking plush cats, and cartoony ones? None of them look anything like the next. Does she simply remember me calling them all kitties and meowing? And, by the way, she makes the most adorable high-pitched little meow sound whenever I mention a cat, she sees a cat, or we sit down to read. Babies are pretty amazing.

I don't know how she does it, because Bella doesn't. Must be that 3 week jump she has on Bella! Bella does however, love kitty noises and laughs whenever I make her kitties 'talk' to her. It might be a while before Bella can relate that pictures of kitties are the same creatures as our kitties. Longer than for most babies...

I would love to hear her meow too. How darling. One of the most enjoyable parts of motherhood for me has been to watch Kaitlin learn and associate what she learns with the world around her. Babies, and the human mind, are wonderful, miraculous things!

my baby is 10 months old, does not crawl, roll over, have any interest in walking, make animal sounds, speak none of that. Get your girl on TV, Jay leno or something and earn her college education. i would love to see some photos.
