a good day's work

Today I got to check three things off my ever-present to do list: make a menu plan, go grocery shopping, clean out fridge. It did take nearly all day, but it's highly satisfying nonetheless. I just love the beginning of the month (when we get paid); then I can go and stock up on all the things that we need, which is usually quite a lot! I feel a certain sense of security when the pantry is well-stocked and the refrigerator is filled with good things. Even better is that I know I have all I need to make many good meals. I took a photo of my sparkling clean, organized fridge because it's a reflection of my happy accomplishment. You can all go and laugh at me now.

What do you mean now we can go laugh at you? That's craziness. I love a clean refridgerator and especially a clean, well stocked refridgerator. I also feel a sense of security after I've stocked up at Costco and Macey's. It's like I can relax for a bit and know that we're covered.

That is so funny...I did that on Thursday and have pretty much an identical picture but then deleted the post! I am enjoying everytime I open the fridge though....obviously not craziness to me!

laugh? more like envy! my fridge is stocked, I suppose. but clean? never. there is always someone spilling milk or yogurt, leaving the cheese open, saving their unwrapped sucker... revel in your clean, well stocked accomplishment!

I enjoy that accomplishment as well. I gain a similar sense of security from that as well as when I have a full tank of gas!

Laugh at you--never! I love a clean fridge, adnd a well stocked one? Well I can't remember what that even looks like. Unless you're talking well stocked with to go containers full of food that we'll never eat! Cooking isn't high on my priority list right now--although it should be. My monthly budget can't handle all of the eating out, even if it is mostly at Wendy's.
