I have been wanting to paint my piano for some time now. But after the super-long cabinet painting project, I couldn't face a paintbrush.
Last week, I decided that enough time had elapsed and that it was piano time.
I primed it on Friday...
and put on two coats of paint on Saturday.
It is a real bright spot in the house now! Even Max, who wanted me to leave it alone, quite likes it. And my piano students who came on Thursday were smitten.
(I haven't yet decided what to do with the bench.)
Hooray for a finished project!

Ohhhhh Michelle! It's beeeeauuuutiful. I want to copy you.
Calvin would croak. He strokes wood like most people stroke hair and thinks hair and wood should be left in their close-to-natural state (much to Ande's vexation...she has curly hair and he always asks her to let it dry natural and then brush it till it puffs out ten inches). I'm going to start prepping him about painting our piano. Maybe in a year or two he'll cave.
Oh Michelle. I audibly gasped in delight at that photo. I love it. LOVE.
Love. Love. LOVE!
WOW!!!
I LOVE IT-
you have such colorful ways
I bet your students were so surprised
ok- can't stop thinking about this piano!!
You are inspiring me to get off my rear & get something creative done!
(p.s. daylight savings kicked in Tuesday & I could barely get out of bed- so rough)
The piano looks so great!! I need to get painting around here!
WOW, Michelle! Seriously, WOW! I love the color you chose. I wouldn't have guessed that but I love it!
LOVE IT!!!!!,!!
I think it's fabulous! And I love the orange clock too!
Wow! I love it! What a fun pop of color! Maybe do some orange with flower stencils for the bench?
Well, after all, it has been named the color of the year by Pantone!
Love. It.
