Two more things I wish I could have photographed:
- The French version of Tom Cruise! I was in the book/paperstore downstairs, at the cash register. I turned around and there he was -- for a minute I thought maybe he was Tom Cruise -- that's how charismatic he was. I lingered just long enough to hear him speak to the cashier. I almost could not believe he was French. French guys can be good-looking, but in a different way. This guy looked very American, but when I heard him talk, he was definitely a native.
- Three nuns on the Metro. We were coming home from church on Sunday, and these three nuns were standing all together in the center of a car, all holding onto the same bar. They were dressed in grey habits. I've never seen nuns on the Metro before. Quite a picture.
