Sunday funny

Blue Bug was having trouble getting through Sacrament Meeting yesterday.

She was lying on the floor, getting her hair messed up, complaining that she doesn't like Bug Church, not whispering, and just generally being a nuisance.

A man sitting behind us was chuckling as he watched her. I think he was perhaps feeling nostalgic for the time when his kids were small.

Then, during a talk on reverence, mind you, she said pretty loudly, "Stop! You're annoying me!"
(This comment was directed at Marc, not the speaker.)

The man behind us just cracked up. I mean really cracked up, his face in his hands so as to not be a big distraction and/or encourage Blue Bug in her antics.

Marc and I just looked at each other. And we couldn't help laughing a bit as well.

There is a huge difference in parenting an oldest child and a youngest child.


p.s. I wore my new red heels and they were less than hugely successful. I have to get size 9 shoes to acommodate the extreme width of my feet, when really the length of my feet is more like a 7 1/2. These particular shoes have a very low-cut toe, which both makes them cute and more likely to fit my crazy feet. This combination made it very hard for me to keep said shoes on said crazy feet while walking. I don't even know why I try.
