tween hilarity

I saw this essay hanging in the hall at the elementary school. It totally cracked me up, especially that she remembers what she was wearing when she fell in love with Zac Efron, and "Zac has a face that looks like it was carved by angels." So funny, and so cute.

Were you ever smitten by a star as a pre-teen? For me, it was Michael J. Fox.

This is hilarious! Remember the hours we took to make our collages that included numerous pictures of MJF? I don't think I would ever have dared make my love of him so public as to write, much less post, an essay on the school walls of my celebrity crush. So funny!

I pretty much love this! I was infatuated with JC from N*SYNC. Oh, yeah, baby. However, I don't know if I could say his face was carved by angels. Hahahaha.

"I haven't see it yet which brings me to tears" -- oh to have so much passion again!

That's funny Michael J. Fox was yours, I'm glad you told us. I'm still too embarrassed to mention mine.

Oh this is so funny! At first I was thinking Justin Bieber but then I thought "there's no way he was born in 1987!".

I adored Scott Baio, Ricky Schroeder, Jason Bateman, and all the hotties from The Outsiders Movie.

I have to say that seeing Zac in "17 Again" did make me feel kind of funny inside.

Ponyboy Curtis was my first love.

He will always be my boyfriend.

Also, this essay brings me back to grading them myself when I taught 7th/8th grade English. SO many hilarious vernacular twists!

One essayist confided to me that his peers mess with his "self of steam." I still love that one & use it weekly.

Another student used the term "such a pre-Madonna" instead of "prima donna."

Teaching is the best job in the world :)

That brings me back to the days of my youth. The band, Hanson was all I ever dreamed about. I was even creepy and collected posters of them to hang on my wall and keep in binders. Those were the days!

I too loved MJF on Family Ties! I still remember some of my favorite lines he said! I kind of liked Tom Cruise, as well, oh my confessions galore!
