spt -- weather or not

I had big plans for this week: yard work, big time (for real).

The warmer weather and sunshine were finally working, I was finally feeling some motivation to get out there and make a difference. Pruning. Raking. Mowing. The whole shebang.

But yesterday was cold, cloudy, and very windy. It rained like crazy last night, and then the rain turned to snow. This morning, it even hailed for half an hour. Huh.

As much as I love hibernating, I don't really care for enforced hibernating. In fact, I feel quite irritable when I finally work up some motivation and energy at the same time, only to be foiled.

That's Spring in Utah for you. Who knows? Maybe the rest of the week will be gorgeous.

I too, hate enforced hibernation.
I do not miss Utah weather, I have to say. I am enjoying my azaleas too much.

I'm distracted by the state of your toes since I know they are a direct indicator of the state of your mental health. You need a pedicure STAT!

Jill's comment is too funny! But I have to admit that I was thinking something along the same lines..

Utah weather...go figure.

Hi Michelle - I've just read through your amazing posts on your amazing grandma Charlottoe. I'm sorry for your loss, but delight in your positive attitude that she is in God's company and able to do many more wondrous things from up there! I lost my step-dad at the end of February to cancer, and he died in a hospice. I can relate to so much of what you have said in your posts. And the images are very precious.

Weather? Yuk! If it's any consolation, the UK is experiencing mild temps and sunny intervals, but a COLD easterly wind blowing straight from Scandinavia and the Baltics. Woo-hoo! It's bracing.

I think, with the bereavements we've gone through, and this up-and-down weather, we just have to 'go with the flow' baby! xx

Urgh, I put a magic 'e' on the end of your Grandma's name! Sorry! It can be an 'e' for 'extraordinary'! x

Colorado weather is much the same, though we had a nice day yesterday--if a bit gusty with wind.

Seeing you toenails made me feel better about my own.

And yes, I still am feeling exhausted by "all that crying."

I didn't notice the state of your toes until Jill said something- I was loving the bright pink next to the dreary snow that just can't seem to go away.

As of last night, the weather is supposed to be much warmer (improved!) as we head into and through the weekend. Good luck with your outside plans!

Only a true friend could comment like Jill.

Your crazy Utah weather makes Arizona even more enjoyable.

Yeah, the weather yesterday was completely bizarre. I'm hoping it gets nice soon!

All I could think upon seeing your spt is...aren't her feet freezing?

Apparently, my body temp is ready for warm weather...'cause my feet are sooo cold!

The only reason I'm not thrilled with the snow still remaining in my flower beds is the fact that it smushed my daffodils!

I hope you don't mind that I totally copied your picture idea of your feet. There was no way I could take a picture of myself with how broken out I am. We had crazy weather yesterday also.

I'm amazed by the crazy Utah weather this spring. Your poor toes look way too chilly for April!

Jill's comment made me laugh. I had to have an emergency razor blade session on my feet last night. Things were getting pretty grim. Tonight, it's toes. Unless I'm too lazy and I decide to just go get a pedicure tomorrow.

I am laughing at how Jill, your mom, and your aunt all are worried about your toes and all *I* was thinking was, "Wow, I'm amazed at how she always has on toenail polish and makeup, etc....I NEVER have time to make my toes looke cute!" Perspective is a funny thing :)

Fun SPT...hope you get some good weather this weekend!
