Spring snow

I had to run to the grocery store last night and snapped this photo of a teeny tiny snowman that someone made in the flats of pansies for sale out front. We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday and I was feeling badly for all the flowers and birds.

Then we woke up to this today! A foot of new snow. During Spring break.

The branches on our flowering plum are weighted all the way down to the deck! I hope they don't break.

Good grief.

I feel the same way and was just outside taking pictures of my snow-covered tulips. What in the world?? Even when we get a late snow like this it doesn't seem to be as abundant as this. What is going on??

I am sooo sorry--really--that just bites! I think I would go nuts if that happened right now...The last picture is breathtaking, though!

It is beautiful but that would make me sad, sad, sad to have snow over Spring break. Not to brag but it was 71 here today!

I love your pictures in both of these recent posts. You have such a good eye.

You'll have to let me know if you make the shredded pork tacos with your leftovers (and send me a picture if you do!). I haven't ever tried those yet...

the flowering plum is still beautiful, even with the snow. especially when you point your camera at it, your photographs are always stunning.

Hi Michelle. I am one of the girls who ran into Jill at BYU the other day and said hi bc I lurk on her blog. I felt so sheepish for lurking that I decided I have to delurk on yours too! You guys have such wonderful blogs. I am visiting Utah right now and am not enjoying the freezing weather! I have been feeling bad for all the snow-covered blossoms so your pictures are timely!

I love your photos, especially the last one. You need to make one of your photo cards with that one.

One year during spring break we had a record-breaking blizzard. All the other school districts (that weren't having spring break that week) got the entire week off PLUS their spring break. We were cheated that year.

Love your new banner, and kudos to Linda for finally getting a Google account and having a profile pic!

We only got a dusting of snow here in Salt Lake - I can't believe how much snow...why won't it just rain in the valleys and snow in the mountains!

I'm glad I got to meet you a few weeks ago at Denise's ward. I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy your photographs and am so wishing I was your best friend and could go to Paris with you. :) I got to spend only 4 actual days there, but I loved it and really would love to go back and stay much longer.

I love the spring blossoms photo!

It's always a little sad to have spring snow cover the new blooms, but man, that's beautiful!

Stylish snow.

We loved the snow in Santa Fe all week but then my kids have only seen in one other time. Doesn't look much like spring break, huh?

We have snow in our forecast for Thursday so maybe it has been working its way north?
