March Monthly Special: Foreground

The Take-out Photo monthly special for March is all about foreground. I'm having a busy month and haven't shot anything new specifically for the challenge, but I knew I had this picture that I took in the summertime that would fit the bill. Apparently, I just love photos with something in focus in the foreground and a blurry background...

It's nice that you remembered you had this great photo. Plus, last week was nice outside this could have been taken then really.

this picture says everything about childhood summers. don't you wish you could feel that unburdened and whimsical and playful again?

i love all the red...and now i want a popsicle.

interesting, firefox wanted me to capitalize 'popsicle' (firefox wants me to capitalize a LOT of things...;)...) i don't think i ever realized it was a name brand! so, what's the generic name? frozen fruity stuff on a stick?

Love this! I just recently learned how to do this with my camera. I'm not very good at it yet, but working on it.
Seriously, such a cute photo!

That's such a perfect photo. The bite marks and the drips make the photo. I hope your post will inspire some people to do the month's challenge.

I don't know how to do this with my camera, or if I can even do it with my simple point-and-shoot. Guess I'll have to check out Marc's instructions. Way cute photo!

This is a really great photo. I love the pokadots on Eva's dress.

Thank you soo much for posting about the temple dedication. I knew I wouldn't be able to go because Jason is out of town and there was no one to stay home with the little kids so that I could take Blake and Ashley. I loved your notes, all of them. They were so good to read.

I love the photo...especially the red foreground and red background, and the drips on Eva's hand...
You share Marc's talent for photography!! You should frame this...

I just started a photography class so hopefully I will know how to do this soon! I just learned about aperture last week, so maybe I will play around with it. It's about time I learned how to use my camera. This photo is great- makes me want summer now!
