Creative Friday

This week for Creative Friday, I tried to work on making another recipe box as a gift for a friend, but found I had to re-format all of my recipes. I used a ruler and a calculator and thought I had planned it all out, but when I printed them and started cutting, I realized that they were still too big! I re-did the whole tedious process, only to discover that all of my cutting blades were too dull and I was out of replacements. Oh the humanity.

I picked up my new cotton yarn and did a little knitting to calm my nerves.

This picture that Jill took makes me smile.

Eva did not appreciate our spaghetti pie. Her loss.

Jill was writing full-on letters! Man, I never do that. But who wouldn't want to receive a letter?

Jill cut out several pages of labels and still managed to write all of these colorful letters and notes!

With Wonderful Wednesday and Creative Friday this week, I feel completely replenished! Thanks, Jill.

Sounds like you had a fun day after you set aside your intended project....

Way cute photo of the two of you and very funny one of Eva!

Okay, I am so jealous of the knitting. I am jealous that you have Hannah to teach you, that you are learning, that you have that aqua cotton yarn. All of it. If/when you come to visit, you're teaching me. Period.
All the rest of that stuff looks good too. ;)

Okay, I was just transfixed by your aqua cotton yarn picture. It's beauty. Can't wait to see what it becomes!

I am sorry you ended up with formatting woes, that seems like something that would happen to me since I have such poor measuring skills.

I admire your new knitting skills. Knitting seems beyond me, I'm all thumbs.

My whole life is a formatting woe!
Sorry things didn't work out the way you had hoped with your recipe cards...

I enjoy reading both yours and Jill's interpretations of the day...it's fun to see which details stand out for you guys...

I don't knit, but I like people who do...does that count for something?

So sorry about your formatting issues. I hate when I have gone to all that work and it gets ruined like that.

Who knew you could knit?

I love the photo of Eva. She is so hilarious. Ashley's been talking about her all week after their play date at Jill's the other day. She makes quite an impression.

knitting looks good! don't you love bamboo?

a friend gave me some of her old metal ones and I don't like them one bit..but they are longer than my bamboo and I need them for what I'm working on right now.

Awesome day for you with spaghetti pie on top.

Your spaghetti pie is SO good. Just the mention of it and I think I need to add it to our menu this week.

That yarn is oh so pleasing. I feel giddy for you that you love it so much (and don't feel like such a dork for being as obsessed as I am with it!)

Those envelopes are brilliant. I got one from Jill and she is totally right, they do add a delightful burst of color.

Sorry for the woes. Few things make me throw my hands up and walk away- printer stuff is high on that list.
