Creative Friday

Creative Friday was nearly canceled yesterday due to Whitney's illness, but Hannah saved the day by having Eva over to play!

I just cannot get over how grown-up Whitney is looking all of a sudden! Is it the retainer? The earrings? It seems to have happened overnight.

Because of my hurried departure, I really did not plan all that well. Jill always comes to me, so I'm out of practice! This bag was all I brought, and it was only about half full... oh well, I didn't really run out of stuff to do, so all was well.

This sight brought back memories of many creative days at Jill's house -- she uses hot pads as coasters for sweating drinks, and I guess it's been awhile since I've seen this.

It's also been awhile since I've seen this -- Jill working her magic at her house -- her delightfully clean, homey, welcoming house.

At one point I looked down and saw a little disco ball action happening (some light came in through the window and struck my ring just so). It tickled my fancy.

I am in love with this picture of Whitney having her first experience with sealing wax.

The finished seal, so pleasing!

When I went to pick up Eva, she screamed at me. That was her charming way of telling me that she was having the time of her life and didn't want to leave. It was a great day for all! (with the possible exception of Hannah...)

Isn't it just charming when you have to fight your child to come home. I yelled at Kaitlin pretty good (or bad depending on one's perspective) last week for doing that to me. From now on she knows that she's grounded from going to friend's houses forever if she does it anymore. I guess Eva's a little too young for that!

I'm so glad things worked out and that Hannah saved the day! It throws me when we're at my house for Creative Friday because it's so rare, but it worked out great this time.

That picture of me writing really shows my 2 inch roots, it's a good thing those are documented.

Okay, what is that cute monogrammed bag yuo have? i don't remember that, but I want one. Except with a 'J' instead of an 'M'. Hannah assures me over and over that it really is a favor to her to have Eva over- she and Mya play very well together and it enables Hannah to get a lot done- so, take advantage! I too got a delightful good mail package today :) Thanks-

Ok, did you guys share photos or what? This is like Deja Vu. Oh well. Sounds like you guys saved the day on Creative Friday and were still able to have a great time, good food, and get some stuff done. Where did the Land before Time obsession start? I am not a fan of those movies. Poor you.

It was a great day for all- seriously! I dropped something by Jill's house today that I was able to work on while Eva and Mya were keeping busy, so it was free time all around!

I love that M bag- where did you get it???

I love that wax seal too. And your disco ball picture :)

Love the self-portrait, the photo of Jill, your delight in the disco-ring scenario, and reading about Creative Friday from both yours' and Jill's perspectives.

Hot pads as coasters? I have never tried it but it seems brilliant!
