scary scissors

Yesterday Jessie woke up to Bella saying, "What's that sound?"

J: "What sound?"

B: "It sounds like... scissors."

Jessie listened and heard a mouse scritch-scratching, somewhere uncomfortably nearby. And she had to admit, it did sound a bit like scissors.

Later, Bella and Eva were going downstairs to play. Bella adopted a distinctly macabre voice, and said, "Eva, there's a sound.... a sound of scissors.... scissors... that can cut people!"

E: "Will Bella keep me safe?!"

Last night, Jessie didn't sleep well because she kept hearing the scissors, even though I immediately set new traps in the vicinity of the scissors sound.

It's the kind of thing that really makes you feel like a great hostess.

This is hilarious! I can just hear Bella saying that. Oh man. Luckily it is family eh?

Still laughing...

Oh no! At least it's Jessie who came to your house knowing fully about the mice and not some long lost friend who you haven't talked to in years. But what an apt description. That Bella's a perceptive little thing, isn't she?

Maybe we should put a DVD of Cinderella in the basement to put a positive spin on things.

Hhahahahahahaha! You know, I've seen a craft where you make a little felt cover for a pair of scissors, and the handles turn into the ears and you have your very own scissor-mouse. My mind immediately jumped there when I read this. Great story!

I like Marc's idea best. Just picture the little mice sewing and cleaning inside the walls!

First, I'm sort of glad it was mice and not really scissors. Because I thought this was a preface for someone doing some major damage with scissors.

But, I am laughing at the Bella macabre voice, and Eva wondering if Bella would keep her safe. So funny! I hope you catch those mice soon!!!

A good hostess always has mouse traps on hand.

Oh Michelle, just think of Remy!....Hey have you used those stick strips...My brother said they worked marvelous! I don't know, but worth the trouble. The one thing that works for me every time is that yellow venom, that looks like little blue cilinders. Every time I use them the mouse leaves, it makes them sooo thirsty...that they run to get water, usually away from the house! Try them.
