Hooray for Creative Friday! Jill got here earlier than usual today, and stayed later than usual as well, so it was a nice long day of that good old Creative Friday refueling. I love that even though we spent several hours together on Wednesday and had several phone conversations this week, we still have plenty to talk about. Dare I say the well never runs dry?
Today I worked on birthday tags -- man, I love it when Jill has a great idea for me. Jill brought a bunch of frames from her photo wall and swapped out the photos (she calls it demoting them, which just has too sad a connotation, let's think of something better, shall we?), she cut several sets of good mail labels, and she readied 10 pieces of good mail! Wow.
Jill, always keeping up with her correspondence. If she ever stopped sending good mail, the U.S. postal service would take a huge hit!
Side note: Jill said she wouldn't leave until I made a doctor's appointment. I need to make a doctor's appointment. I've been needing to make one for some time now, and it's been on my to-do list for weeks. I need a new prescription for my anti-depressants. I need to go. So why have I been avoiding it? I can't say exactly, but it's times like these when I need a friend like Jill to give me the push I need. Check.
Seriously the cutest reusable shopping bag ever, anywhere (I defy you to show me a cuter one!) -- she bought it at the PTA Conference. I'm trying to convince her to put together an order because I want some!
Creative Friday: free therapy, good music (ooh! she brought me another new cd today!), laughter, productivity, good food, support, a tangible energy boost -- could there be anything better? (Incidentally, we tried to figure out just how long we've been having Creative Friday, and we couldn't pinpoint it exactly, but we do know that we've been doing it at least semi-regularly since Landon was a baby, and he's almost 10!)

I love your creative friday posts. I want to have a creative friday too, but I don't know anyone around here that wants to be creative. Darn it! I love the birthday cards...so cute! That reusable shopping bag is seriously THE cutest one ever!! If Jill does do an order I want one or two!!
I can feel the happiness jumping off the monitor here- coming earlier and staying later that usual. That is just good times!
I am always impressed with all you two get done. Those birthday cards are so cute. I think of the frame swapping as demoting too, but just the other day my grandma said she needed to refresh her picture frames. I like that.
That bag leaves me a little speechless...
That is a really cute bag! I love your Creative Friday posts!
creative friday- i've gotta get me one! You guys are amazing.
Funny how a friend can get you to go to the doctor & other things you don't want to do. I can so relate to that. I totally put off going to the doctor, why?? I don't know but I just do. I am so glad you guys have each other, an amazing friendship is such a blessing.
It was a marvelous, super productive and satisfying day!
i love reading about creative friday! we have got to get this started in the davis county region here!
why is it so hard to go to the doctor? seriously, once it's over i feel dumb that i was so worried about it. it's just so inconvenient, what ever happened to house calls?
and really, those happy birthday cards are SO cute!
All I can say is that I am WAY jealous of your creative Friays!! The whole day sounds fun and engergizing.
Yes, that bad is about the cutest "green" bad I've ever seen. The Princeton Jr. Leauge-ers would be duly impressed!!!
Carry on!
wow...all the pictures are goodness...I am sad for Jill for demoting them...I am kind of like her, once i get a picture it stays there forever...now with less wall space we can be creative....I usually keep the photos on the back part just in case..they need to come out a little bit again! I am so happy you guys have eachother and congratulations on at least 10 years! wow
The birthday tags are sooooo great with the perfect color combinations. You two are such a good example for setting aside time for Creative Friday!
This is truly a special thing you women have -creative Friday! And I'm amazed at how long you've been sticking with it!
