1 down, 399 to go...

We actually finished a project on Saturday!

{the wall above our bed}

It's been in the works for quite some time -- Jessie sent me some frames for Christmas, which I finally got around to spray-painting a couple of weeks ago. For some reason, Saturday was the day to finish it. We arranged the frames on our bed and decided we needed more, so Marc went to Savers and got 8 more frames for $10! I quickly painted them and then after some more rearranging, Marc hung them up. So satisfying.

Now I can't stop looking at it. I lie in bed with my head turned up as far as possible. Sometimes I walk in the bedroom just to gaze for a few minutes. We were originally planning on putting some found items in a few of the frames, but we also really like it as is, so the jury's still out on that one.

The challenge I'm facing now is reveling in the success of this completed project rather than dwelling on all the ones that remain...

You did such a great job, I want to see the whole room! In fact a virtual home tour would be nice.

Hooray for a finished project! I say take the momentum and put it toward something else you want to finish. Woohoo!

Oooh! It looks fantastic! I especially love the ornate frame in the middle and the circular frame. It turned out great! Enjoy the moment, but if your other unfinished projects yield such impressive results I say get to work! I love to see what you do in your house!

Awesome! I just saw a similar look in a magazine, but I absolutely love your color scheme!!! I am a sucker for blues, with green as a close second! Seriously creative and cool!

I love the frames. I'd love to see another pic if you do put some things within the frames too.

Hi Michelle-

I have been reading your blog for awhile and just have to post and say how creative and talented you are. I just love all your projects and they way you decorate. Very inspiring. I'm with Elisa. A virtual home tour would be so fun!! I have to click on the pictures you post so I can see the cute things you decorate with in the back ground. :)

I am about to make your Birthday Banner. I am a complete novice at sewing...this will be my 3rd project...but it is so darn cute. Thanks for the tutorial and all the recipes!!

take time to revel! I love your originality. And double love that your husband gets into the decorating with you. Mine shrugs his shoulders anytime an opinion is required. :)

this is something new to me, so I kind of like it, definately, but will you put something in them? or is it abstract art?

Cool collage! I like it very much. A leaf or a fern would look good somewhere amongst them! I dried some monstera leaves and some neat thing I picked in Charleston and placed within the bounds of the frame collection I hung in the lower level hall.

Great design!
This helps me forget a little about the new addition to the family room........(!)
