I am feeling so filled by General Conference. This is why I so look forward to these two weekends out of the year. I am deeply gratified that my family gathers to watch every session, that the children don't complain (well, the boys don't, at least!), that we set aside the entire weekend for this spiritual feast. I hope my children remember the Solemn Assembly where they stood to sustain a new prophet.
I loved it all and can't wait to read the talks when the Ensign comes out. But for now, I think my favorite quote from this conference is:
"We should encourage our children to define themselves by the growth of their testimonies."
-- Elder Dallin H. Oaks
In a world where we are continually tempted to define ourselves by how we measure up to others, or to worldly standards, I find this to be such wise counsel.

I wrote that quote down too! I loved that talk and think that's one I need to revisit and then do a family home evening on as well.
Glad that your family enjoyed conference, and that everyone cooperated to watch.
I look forward to downloading and listening/reading it.
I love your beautiful header.
We had those in our yard in UT, and they are my favorite! So pretty!
I, too, thought that was a brilliant line and like you felt so full after the weekend.
"filled" is a beautiful way to put it.
It's embarrassing to admit, but I haven't been the most steadfast Conference watcher for the past two years or so. But I took the time to watch two sessions (the other two are saved on my DVR and will be watched after the kids go to bed this week) and I feel like you--filled. It was a really good conference, full of things I really needed to hear.
I too loved conference weekend. Especially when I spend a significant amount of time at high school, where low standards are the standard, I felt so safe this weekend watching and sustaining the prophet and his apostles, and hearing their inspired messages. As I watched, I starred the talks I wanted to go back and read, and by the end, almost all were starred. I felt so much strength from all the messages, and feel ready for the months ahead.
I didn't take any notes, but I heard so many gems from this weekend. I can't wait to get my conference Ensign and reread them. I especially loved Elder Ballards talk.
Elder Oaks gave a great talk. That is an awesome quote. I love being a part of a church that teaches us that it's good to be different, and not to blend in with society. On this note, I also liked W. Craig Zwick's talk about not lowering our standards.
fantastic post....I love that quote too! I still have to figure out mine!
I live for Conference weekends! It really is a spiritual feast, and for those two days of each weekend, I feel like I'm in a protective little cocoon where the world can't touch me. I also love knowing that my loved ones are watching the same thing at the same time in various parts of the country. It really strengthens me.
How true this is!
i loved the whole weekend. it was all wonderful and filling.
I sort of felt like the whole thing was appetizers and munchies till Presiden Monson Sunday morning and then forward from there. Sunday afternoon filled me up, though.
I love that quote. It is only Thursday but I already feel like I need a conference review.
